The weird thing was the factory paste didn't melt and spread out. I figured it was just old and dryed out so I removed it with alcohol and added new stuff. But maybe it just isn't getting mounted correctly enough to melt it and engage the heat sink.

That's surprising. Have you put your hand on the HSF to see if any part of it is warming up before the system shuts down? It doesn't feel hot at all. Room temp.

I have a 17in Cornea MP704 LCD monitor and a big problem. What happens is at seemingly random time intervals, the screen will begin to flash off and on, usually speeding up with time. The green LED also flashes. As you can guess, this is a big problem especially when doing on flag run in UT2004...

Using IR remote to control winamp5

I recently bought a TV tuner for my PC, specifically the Compro VideoMate TV Gold Plus that comes with a IR remote control. I was wondering if there is any possible way to configure this remote to do simple winamp tasks like play, pause, stop, next, previous etc. Any help would be appreciated.

thanks, the help I needed. Just needed to right click on the .exe go to winzip -> extract to... and chose a place. Then running the extracted setup.exe worked perfectly :)

thanks xbox, yep 166 it was. I have one more question. When I went into the bios, there was something about videocard memory (sorry, I dont remember the exact wording) ... but it was set at 64mb. With a Radeon 9700 should I set it to 128mb?
