Don't you guys read the readme.txt that comes with the program MEMTEST86????
It clearly says that test 5 or 6 (i don't remember exactly which test...) may cause some problems with some AMD motherboards or chipsets for the AMD...

The mosfets...i have around 14 of them on my asus a7v8...with 6 or 7 placed in the area of the CPU socket...some are bit larger ones...

I have currently installed Linux Mandrake 9.0 (default installation) , and would like to have my WINDOWS 2000 or WINDOWS 98 OS back for games and internet (cause my network card isnt recognised in Linux Mandrake)
How should i do this?
Is it easier for me to install win98 than win2000...

Not many A7V8 users yet? Common, there has to be a workaround for me, in order to use my Broadcom 4401 LAN controller under linux mandrake 9.0.
Any help or hints appreciated
Just checked my motherboard, and the chip i have on the asus a7v8 is the Broadcom 4401 chip, which only supports 10 and 100 Mps LAN.
Anybody knows how to get this integrated LAN controller working in LINUX MANDRAKE 9.0 (kernel 2.4.17).

I know there exists linux drivers for the Broadcom 5700 chips (they are GIGAbyte LAN controllers)
but mine is the Broadcom 440x chip which only supports 10 and 100MBps LAN.
Anybody has an idea how to get this integerated controller working in...
On my motherboard the Broadcom chip has the number Broadcom '440'...
Maybe it is not the same as the broadcom 5700 chip.
