I've been under the impression that unless you buy an un-OC'able Xeon, you can't really get away from some part of integrated graphics... The dedicated GPU on the AMD still isn't going to compete with any of the dedicated graphics cards.. so I would still be buying a GPU, AMD or Intel..

Yea, I dunno if my budget went up without realizing it over the years, or if what a budget system was is different now.. I remember all of my other builds were considered budget gamer builds.. I think it's because processors have been stagnant for so long that $300 for a mobo + CPU is now high...

That's sort of what I was looking for, is there any purpose to delaying. When reading I've found so many people saying the chips have not improved much with the introduction of Haswell, so the question was.. is it time to buy now or should I do something to put it off until the next round comes...

Will my 320 watt PS handle a GTX 670 GPU?

Are the OCZ modstream any good? They have the 600W for $50 AR right now at Newegg. I doubt I'll do huge over clocks, but I don't want to pick up a Capstone 450W and find myself short.

I believe Mitsu ONLY offers 60+ sets now because of the price fall of LCD/Plasma. But at 60" for $640.. LCD/Plasma doesn't even approach that cost vs. size.

S1283 & Super Lanboy - Oh noes?

I just got in my new rig, but was planning on utilizing an old case. Now that I have it installed.. I'm not sure it is going to work properly. The 1283 is on a Biostar 790GX and faces towards the top of the case.. which I assume would be fine if I had a bottom mounted PSU and a blowhole fan...

I recently installed XP SP2 MCE on a new drive after my last one decided to go clicky click click.. but I can't get the display drivers to install properly.. I'm using a Nvidia 6600gt and attempting to install any forceware drivers results in my monitor shutting off after the driver...

What nForce4 Ultra Socket-939 mobo has the least problems and is simplest to run?

Does the Chaintech board allow good overclocking as well? I like the DFI Ultra-D but I ddon't have any need for two video card slots... I just want a mobo that I'll be able to do minimal overclocking on my 3000+ venice chip.

Higher memory timing/speed or CPU FSB/Mhz better?

Someone on OC Forums ran tests last night btwn 2-2-2, 2.5-2-2, and 3-2-2, and while benchmarks showed 1% gains btwn each, gaming showed very little FPS gains such that you will never know. I'm thinking of returning my Kingston Hyper-x 2-3-2 ($170 AR) for something a little less costly and...

Yea, many of them seem to auto detect at 2.5. Have you started overclocking it yet? Would love to hear about some results from these chips and how high an FSB they can hit at 1:1.
