Take whatever hard drive you need data off of and hook it up as a secondary drive in another system. Then purchase a program called Restorer 2000 pro from www.bitmart.net. Our company used this after a hard drive was severely corrupted. I have no affiliation with the product, but it has worked...
I only briefly scanned the threads in this message, so sorry if this info is repeated....but, I noticed a bunch of people were struggling to find a good enclosure that supports both USB 2.0 and FireWire and supports both 3.5 and 5.25.
