Logitech MX 700 vs MX500

I've been using an MX700 for about a month now and I love it. Best mouse I've ever had, and no cords to get in the way. I play lots of games... UT 2003, BF1942, etc ... and I havent seen ANY lag, it's very smooth and very responsive. I'm using the batteries that came with it... it recharges...

ASUS P4PE - a question about this motherboard...

They say "optional" because there are several versions of the motherboard ... same architecture but some have features removed to reduce the cost. The P4PE-L version has sound and LAN and costs less... the "full" version has Serial ATA, RAID, Gigabit LAN, etc.

Seagate Barracuda V HDD - Anyone heard when they'll be available?

Last I heard, the Barracuda IV with Serial ATA connectors and 8Mb cache would be on the market by the end of november... if that's true I'd expect them to more widely available by Christmas time.

where is that damn price drop?

Whenever they release a new chip, the prices on ALL older chips tends to drop... I was under the impression that the P4 2.4B chips would be dropping about 15% based on 2 other "price drop" reports I've read... that's why I havent made any purchases yet. If the 3.0GHz chips are released...

845E, Sis 648, Granite, agggghhh!!

I've looked at the IT7 MAX2 since I was thinking of buying it as well... but I believe it only supports DDR266 max, so DDR333 and 400 probably wont work. And the new intel chipset supporting higher speed ram wont be out until next year ...
