Not as a specific combo, but the pair are listed separately in today's Fry's ad (SoCal B&M):
Gigabyte GA-880GA-UD3H 84.99 after $15MIR
Phenom 2 X2 560BE 79.99
That 880G board has USB 3.0 + SATA 6 + onboard video.
Thanks for the post -- I was about to reorder the carts. for this filter. I noticed that in the alternate sellers list, JG Homegoods had the carts. for $7.99 + $5.10 shipping, too.
I'm not convinced that's true. I was looking at a different model at Sears, a Panny 40" 720p. Watching a ball thrown across the screen was like looking through a shutter. I haven't looked at a "600Hz" model to compare.
I've heard of Ooma, but not familiar with it. I'd have to be sure the h/w is compatible with other voip providers. There are open SIP adapters for less, e.g., www.amazon.com/Linksys-SPA3000-Analo.../dp/B000E57DSI.
I don't need a PBX at home, but I put the IT mgr at one of my customers on to asterisk. They've set up a testbed and so far really like it. Guess it might be fun to do multiline @ home at some point.
I'm willing to risk my TMo cell for backup. Not worth $20/mo for LL.
I didn't know about about gizmo5 until after the acquisition, and they're now closed to new accts. I've been using GV for both outbd and in, so my friends ring both my cell and LL.
Cool! Sounds like exactly what I'm looking for. I'll check it out. Is the $15/mo in the GBU chart incorrect? -- I don't see that on the Callcentric site.
I'm considering dumping my landline. I use prepaid TMo cell to keep costs down, currently using landline for most calls. I don't want to get tied up with expensive proprietary solutions like Vonage or Skype. I have Google Voice for long distance. Google may eventually have a full VoIP...
Mea culpa -- I don't usually check the Social forum. I did search for FuseTalk in this forum before I posted. I thought it would be the logical place :)
BTW, my subscription to this thread did not work -- no notification.
These sticks have Elpida chips on them, as reported by CPUZ. In my Presario F500, they run at 5-5-5-15-21, the same as my previous Crucial sticks, but at 2T. The Crucials ran at 1T.
I called Fry's Customer Service about the misprint on the rebate form. The kindly CSR sent me a note and said if the rebate was denied for that reason, they would sort it out. She sent me an email to that effect:

I upgraded my notebook memory from a Crucial 2GB set to a PNY 4GB set. The Crucial ran at 1T, but CPUZ reports the PNY at 2T. The other timings reported by CPUZ are the same: 5-5-5-15-21. The notebook is a Compaq Presario F500 with a dual-core A64 and NV 6100 chipset. I dual boot the...
Mine was ready for pickup 1/2 h after ordering. I already picked it up. The CC is charged at pickup -- apparently entering the CC# on the website is just to hold the order for pickup. I used a "virtual" CC online, and a different CC at the store.
I've had good luck with these -- we've had three so far, sold to friends and relatives with no problems. My current one, a F500, is dual-boot with the original Vista and Server 03, which I use as my main development workstation for my consulting work.
