to newegg for components. Start with their 'Giga' system and decontent the display and DVD-rom.
Tweak the video and hard drive... below is what I come up with.. I see the sum of the parts
cost as >$50 more...
I don't believe that is correct. Once you are into the upper tier, you are in the upper tier for everday and non-everday...

Monitor looks new cosmetically and visually looks perfect, at least to me. Should help
on the eyestrain for the many hours spent in front of this thing.
I ended up ordering with the $300 BTO discount & $15 coupon....
Had to put the 1199 up $1 with some pens to get both the 300 & 15 to
apply.. (must be a 15 off 100)... Nice touch was paying tax after the 315 off...
so many times you pay tax before a coupon/instant rebate.... after the 100 back...
badluck, I never got to the point of having a $30 coupon/code in hand...you are supposed to type
in your email address to get it sent to you (or actually your friend), but I never got it..
I did try the $50 at the Staples kiosk, but it wouldn't combine with the $300 BTO rebate ...
The $50 says...
The new $150 Staples rebate excludes BTO.
