I can comment on GTX 260 overclockability. Yesterday I started testing my new BFG GTX 260 OC card, and I went straight to 702/1458/1188. Rock stable, max temp under load is 66C. I didn't try any higher clock, but I will... The only benchmark I have for now is 3DMark06, ~16,500 (~6,600 SM2.0...

PNY 7900 GS Temp question

It's not too hot. IIRC the throttling temp is 130C. My PNY 7900GS stock is idling at 45C. Now is running 575/1400 MHz stock voltage, idle/load temp 47C/57C. Regards, gene57

PNY 7900GS (OC) vs ATI x1950PRO (cost $50 more)

Just my little experience on a BestBuy PNY 7900GS 256MB PCIe (a week ago I've paid 199$, not a bad deal anyhow). First o/c attempt using nVTray was kind of delusional, max o/c was 485/680MHz, just a little bit more than the stock 450/660. Hey, you get what you pay for, no? Not a bad performer...

Need help with my 3700+

Actually I'm not an expert too, but it seems way too high. My 3700+ San Diego is running 3GHz (300x10) at 25C idle - granted I have a beefy XP-120 for heatsink :) I recommend to check your heatsink - maybe is not making a good contact with the CPU? Regards, gene57
