[UPDATE 5/30]
Wifey and I were in the Sacramento area to look for a gym during the holiday weekend (She's an Express Fitness member in the SF Bay). Stopped by place in Citrus Heights and they are doing a $9 promotion too. Whoa!
Anyway, here's the price breakdown:
1st Person: $178...
Yeah, it's a little weird. Fitness 19's usually have no showers. Luckily Express Fitnesses do and have an aerobics room. Wife wouldn't have joined w/o aerobics classes.
The Pleasanton club is the only one that offers the $12 deal.
Express fitness in Pleasanton is offering $12/month again this month. The membership allows you to use all Fitness 19, Express Fitness, and Right Stuff clubs. This is month to month. You can cancel anytime.
Here's the math 12/mo + 99 processing ($50 off).
To get the processing down to 99...
Just found out that they have multiple locations and the $12 allows you to use the membership at all locations
The flyer lists (in addition to Pleasanton):
Fremont
San Jose
Sunnyvale
San Ramon
Walnut Creek
Vacaville
Campbell
Tracy (coming soon)
1. $2.50 ea.
2. no. I think these fans are so reliable that they don't need RPM monitoring.
3. These fans don't draw much power so I don't understand why someone would make such a comment. I run these fans at 7 volts (they are SILENT!!).
Some have even been bold enough (especially those...
Crap! I bought the AMD XP2400+ (thorton too!) and fit it with the SVC GC68 heatsink and a 3050 RPM Fan and get 51 degrees (IDLE!!!) temp
Should I pay Newegg's restocking fee?
If you plan on owning the notebook for longer than 3 years. I think the 7200 rpm drive will be worth the current price. As far as resale value is concerned. That drive WILL depreciate very much if someone else enters the 7200 rpm mobile drive race (Fujitsu maybe?).

Photoshop mostly (which isn't too CPU intensive). I will sometimes convert some of my CD's to MP3 using LAME (CPU intensive).
I guess my real concern is whether my temps will be too high if i use the XP2400+
I own the chyang fun CF-768 and I can use a Socket A processor ...
What I plan to do do is lower exhaust fans down to 7V and replace the power supply fan. That will result in higher temps in my case.
Should I get the XP2400+2.0ghz@1.65V or run a cooler Duron1.6ghz@1.5V ...
Ideally I'd like...
I'd be surprised if anything sounded better than WinDVD hardware or software. My guess is that CPU usage goes down when audigy 2 decoder is used. I'd probably use WinDVD software decoder since I wouldn't be running any processes in the background.
These have to be good considering that they state that the batteries have passed IEC and they have NEVER stated that their batteries have passed IEC.
Best Charger: Lightning Pack 4000N : fits easily in a digital camera bag, has TEMPERATURE PROTECTION, DELTA-V, CONDITIONING and is FAST...
I use the Lightning Pack 4000N from ripvan.com
I think this is the best charger in the biz. Very small, Negative delta-V, FAST, retractable plug, temperature control system.
This thing is GREAT!
quite neat and gives the case a nice touch.. not to mention having to waste the batteries on my Olympus C-4000...
I'll probably buy another one for my parents when the Canon A80 comes out. Hopefully the A80 can be less than $350...
Most cameras have noise in low light and at full res look at sample Olympus 5050 pictures or even G5 pictures.
This is the MOST UNDERRATED CAMERA in the market right now. I'd still keep my C-4000 over it due to manual focusing abilities and many subtle controls (ie: color and such)
but if...
Luckily thursdays game was a push so all of you have a chance to join still!!

I'm 5'5" and 26" bikes are also too big for me. Not the seat adjustment but the crank length. The lever substantially reduces my maximum torque on the top part of the cycle.
I'd rather have a well-fitted $60 cheapo bike than a $800 poorly fitted bike.
The size of the heatsink required for a laptop will be dependent on the maximum power usage of the CPU. Celerons generally will always use less power than their pentium siblings.
Right when I turn on the computer I get:
"system intruded, chassis open or tempered before"
I can't figure out what jumper I need to cover.
what do I do?
If you make a bulletin post, all of your friends gets it so in that case it's pretty cool.. That's pretty much how I use it. I let folks know what's going on (ie: camping trips, lake trips, etc.)
Friendster is some "find a friend" site where you can meet your friends' friends and so on.
I click on random people and I'm connected to them 10 networks. Makes me think that all computer users in the world are connected by fewer than six degrees of freedom; Probably more like 4.
I'm not...
