help! aim wont work!!

more details.... it seems to be happening only with my main aim screenname for some reason i can connect fine with my alternate name but the main name just will not connect. btw, i have 0% warning so that isnt the problem either this is just so weird

help! aim wont work!!

I have aim 5.2 installed and its worked fine since ive had it until today i come to my dorm room to see that i lost my connection, so i try to sign on again and i cant seem to get past step 2 of the sign on where it verifies username and password and it hangs there for a bit and i get an error...

very very weird and alarming message

a while back i made a post complaining that my computer kept shutting down over night and that i couldnt figure out why it was only happening at night and not during the day or whatever some people suggested people doing it through p2p networks, or perhaps i needed a better surge protector...

well dell told me if i was concerned about the heat i could get it exchanged no questions asked within 30 days, so i'll play aruond with this until the 25th day and see how it goes

well the majority of the time my laptop will be sitting on my dorm room desk,, so that cooling thing cant hurt right now taking into acccount about how hot these things get... how long can i keep it running before i should give it a break?

whats going on with my cable modem?

My cable modem works fine if i connect it to my computer via ethernet card and cat5 cable but when i use the usb connection it doesnt work! it shows up as an active connection in network connections, but IE wont open and no internet applications work is there something simple im overlooking...
