I bought one of these with free shipping last year. It's a nice case; fairly easy to work with. The only problem I had was that the door swung open quickly one time too many and broke one of the hinge points. User error. There's a 1yr warranty so maybe I'll see if I can get another door. But...
Didn't see this posted (?)
Kingston is offering rebates of $10 (1GB), $20 (2GB) and $50 (4GB) on CF Elite Pro (45x, 50x), CF Ultimate (133x) and SD Elite Pro flash cards during January (1/1-31/07) from authorized photo dealers. Kingston has a list of the authorized dealers here. Not all...
Thanks for the reminder.
Some states already had laws allowing periodic free credit reports to residents of those states, but this site finally empowers residents of all those other states who have to rely on the recent federal law. It's about time.
Yup, all external serial modems are hardware modems; just like this one. As for the listing on the side of the box that only shows Windows products, manufactures often list only those platforms they 'officially' support. It doesn't mean other platforms won't work with the product but it does...
Another factor to consider is how current your rig is going to be. Many really hot deals are hot because they are sellouts, clearances, or older products about to be replaced, etc. Sales on brand new gear exist but you still pay a pretty penny just because it's new. So if staying absolutely...
For the last book, I waited with the dressed-up crowd at the local Border's for my 2 reserve copies. The next morning, my wife bought a 3rd copy at BJ's Wholesale for less with no waiting and plenty leftover. I think they even beat out Walmart's price across the street pricewise. The atmosphere...
Picked up the last one at my local OD this morning. The back of the box says "External Modam". Guess someone didn't screen the graphics before signing off on the packaging artwork :) Nice deal; thanks !
Might as well help keep this thread alive :)
I have a Sealy memory foam pillow from BJ's. I don't recall when I bought it but I'm tempted to say over a year ago and under two. It seems to be flattening as of late. Anyone know how long these pillows last ? Any recommendations that won't break...
Just got my first EasyRebate checks from Staples - for the Black Friday goods.
I submitted 5 items at one time and they came back all at once (5 seperate checks). Not the quickest turnaround (11/26 to 1/10) but definitely hassle-free. THe online query still shows my rebates as "pending" so...
regarding EasyRebates...
There was an article in the Boston Globe recently (it's part of the paid archives so it's not available online for free anymore) that talked about it. The bottom line is that Staples wanted to make the rebate process simplier for the customer but mfg didn't trust a...
Just came back from my local Best Buy (next to the Solomon Pond Mall in MA) and they had this drive marked at $109.99; minus two rebates ($40 and $20) = $49.99
$5 for a 10-pack 3.5 inch floppy
$6 for a 30-pack Fuji CDR
4/5/04 -> 6/1/04
The Fuji was a $7 rebate. It looks like they entered it as a "march" offer instead of an "april" offer so maybe that made a difference. Dunno. It's not worth my time to fix it as I'll burn more $ in gas getting to the...
FWIW, I recently tried to install a Microsoft PCMCIA 11b card onto a Win98 Dell laptop. It didn't work though to be fair, I think the problem was likely due to the Dell (it's a LONG story!). My beef is that I had to install 5 or 6 update software packages from the installation disk, all of which...
Two super fast rebates from Staples :
$8 for an AT&T phone
$15 for Belkin 100-pack slim CD cases
from the 2/15/04 sales, submitted 2/16/04, received 3/8/04
- $10 from Staples for TDK 50-pack CDR spindle; 12/8/03. Typical Staples online rebate processing efficiency :)
- $30 and $60 from Gvision for a Koji 17 inch LCD from CompUSA; 8/19/03. This one took forever. And oh look it's CompUSA through the Phoenix center. I guess I should be happy it came...
To add to what Dran has said above, Compaqs are generally not very easy to tweak - it's their way of avoiding service issues as well as getting you to buy upgrades. But that doesn't mean it can't be done. In the old days, Compaq used to design and build their own motherboards; those were very...
I've used the +R version of these and have had no problems so far burning at 2.4x in an older LiteOn burner. I paid the same ~$10 after rebate a few months ago when Staples had a similar sale. Good deal especially without a rebate.
