Update: Check out my webpage with a new Wcpu Screenshot However, I can't seem to get above 198 FSB....temps get into near the 60C at full load and I can't boot into Windows Properly. I think the ABit mobo is stopping me from doing this. But anways...3.56 GHz is really nice and I'm getting...

Another amazing o/c 1.8a to 3.7+ 100%+ o/c

Whoa...about 250MHz higher than mine....time to bump it up some more.

Hmm..I don't how to try Prime95....would a several hours of Sandra Burn work as a test for stability? Anways...I have been playing Unreal Tournament 2003 for a couple of hours now...the thing seems stable, and so is the temps. BTW..what is SETI?

I get around 1.65 at idle and down to 1.61 and sometimes dips into the 1.5 territory at full load. I have a hunch that my cheap powersupply isn't giving enough juice.

A study in c1 overclocking!!!

Once again... I have a 1.8A C1 stepping PIV overclocked to 3.45GHz. My configuration is: Swiftech MCX 4000 with ThermalTake Smart Fan 2 ABIT SR7-8X Mobo with Geil DDR 433Mhz Ram Ratio is at 1:1

I think I could push higher since the temps are good, However, my Abit mobo won't let me go over 1.7vCore. Perhaps I should get a new powersupply and maybe do the wire trick? Duvie: I was considering the GB route..however I was hoping I could wait til the Spingdale chipsets.

Official C1 P4 stepping tracker.....

Well, Duvie told me to post it here..so here goes I have a 1.8A C1 stepping overclocked to 3.45GHz @ 1.7vCore in Bios, and between 1.61-1.69 vCore in reality. I got my 1.8A a month ago, before I realized it was a C1. I purchased it at MemoryMedia I purchased the retail box...not expecting a C1...

I can't exactly remember...but I think it was a SL6LA. I know it is a C1 defintely because on the bios screen, the default voltage is 1.525V. PeeLucky, like I said above, I am using a Swiftech MCX -4000 with a TT Smart Fan 2. The core voltages on the bios screen is 1.7, but it varies between...

Blurry, I used a Swiftech MCX 4000 with a ThermalTake SMart Fan 2 as my cooling setup. Surprisinly, I didn't need to bump up the voltage that much. On my bios, it says 1.7 but in reality it is floating around 1.61-1.68 Cpu temps are around 37c Idle and 46c at full load.

Pentium 4 Cooling: Got three coolers, which is best?

I want to overclock my P4 1.8A more than 2.4GHz, but I realized that the stock cooler isn't cutting it anymore. I have three choices...Vantec Aeroflow TMD cooler, Taisol Heat Pipe, or the Thermal Take AX 478. Which is better? Thanks

Granite Bay or SiS655

I hoping to purchase a new motherboard by Christmas. This is my only chance to upgrade from my i845G chipset based motherboard. I was wondering which is better, Granite Bay or the new Sis Chipset? I've heard that the SiS chipset has Dual DDR, etc, but I don't know when it'll be announced...

Possible mod to enable HT

I think we all have our doubts. I read from the forums that the guys who were able to get HT enabled had Engineering Sample Chips, so I think the pin trick won't work. On the other hand, if the pin mod does work....there will be a lot of celebration.

Well, I returned the card. I did ask the one of the employees if they could test the card, but they refused to. I guess they know that it doesn't work.

Radeon 9700....for $99 bucks...worth it?

Like I mention above, there is a floppy power connector on the right. The card does not have a heatsink nor a fan, so its just a bare core with a sticker that says do not remove, so I guess I shouldn't remove it. I have a feeling this is the Radeon 9700 because the memory are BGA packaging...

Radeon 9700....for $99 bucks...worth it?

There's a sale at a local computer shop that is selling an ATI Radeon 9700 (not pro) for $99 dollars. Only drawback is that it is missing the heatsink fan and no drivers, no manual. Should I get it? There is a 7 day return policy.

Radeon 7500 64mb question - is it good enough...

that Radeon 7500LE is really slow... If it is made my PowerColor or Sapphire...then the clock speeds will be 250 core/183 DDR memory.
