Looking for a notebook with socket 939 athlon socket and a nice graphics card. Any help?

AMD Athlon(TM) 64 3800+ (2.4GHz/512KB L2 Cache) AMD Athlon(TM) 64 4000+ (2.4GHz/1MB l2 Cache) I thought these were only available in socket 939, no? Both are available in HP lappys.

The CostCo one clearly indicates it is EDTV and HDTV compatible, not ready. If the Fry's set is truely HDTV ready and supports HDTV native resolutions, then it's a pretty good deal. Personally though, I would not be spending large cash on a plasma set just because of the risks of pixels...

I'd check out all the reviews of plasma vs dlp vs lcos, vs rptv before making any purchases on this nature. Besides is BenQ the manufacturer of these sets? Call me crazy, but I'd prefer to buy a brand that I've actually heard of.

Save $25 a month on comcast cable TV

Doesn't sound legal, I'd be very careful of buying descramblers and using them to obtain channels you don't pay for. Not worth the risk.

I've got one too, very nice and very happy with the purchase. I have to admit I checked this thread when I saw the post cause I paid closer to $370 when it was all said and done for mine. $305 would have been a sweet price indeed.

I bought the same drive (S.E. 8mb cache, 7200 rpm) but 120 GBS for $39.95 AR in a prior deal and still see them frequently for around $49.95 AR. Just buy two for $80 - 100 and save yourself the $50 dollars. (10 gigs less, but how many people really need that much storage).

A true gamer would definitely get a desktop, preferably a custom built rig. I've never seen anyone go to a LAN party with a laptop. They'd probably throw you out. Why waste $1500 - 2000?

As of 1/1/04, aren't you entitled to one free credit report each year? I read this in Kiplinger's as a new law that went into effect. Of course I have no idea how to go about getting it free, the magazine just had a snippet on it, not the complete details.
