Ivy Bridge RAM

Anybody know what the max per DIMM slot size is. Can i put in 4X 8GB DIMMs for 32GB of RAM. How Bout 16GB DIMMs if/when they get to that point?

How much memory will the new IvyBridge Chipsets support?

anybody know whats the maximum DIMM size IvyBrige chipsets will support? 4GB, 8GB, 16GB? Now that i think about it its really not the chipset, since the Memory controller is on the CPU?

I havent done any overclocking for quite a while, but back when i did i remember one of the big issues was that when you overclocked by increasing the FSB you were also increasing the PCI bus as well from its normal 33Mhz and this could cause pci periphials to not work correctly or erraticly...

Is it worth upgrading my s939 with a faster cpu?

16X10 vs 16X9 why?

From what i understand there is no real advantage to having a exact pixel to pixel mapping for video so that being said a higher resolution of 1366X768 is better simply because it gives you more resolution than 1280X720.

Interesting comments. Just wondering about the comment that 16X10 panels are easier to cut than 16X9? So what do the LCD TV manufacturers do? Is there more waste when the produce 16X9 tvs vs 16X10 computer monitors?

why does the aspect ratio effect resolution. if you want more resolution just make a 16x9 monitor with 2240X1260 res instead of a 16:10 with 1920X1200 res

16X10 vs 16X9 why?

Why is it that computer monitors come in the 16X10 aspect ratio instead of 16X9? Did the computer industry just want to be different? Why didnt they just go with the HDTV ratio of 16X9 for wide screen monitors? This has always bugged me, i dont know why but it has.

yea ram is much faster than flash, but isnt most of the cost of manufacturing silicon chips the die size and since Dram only needs one transistor per bit vs ??? per bit for flash wouldn't the die size for ram be smaller than the die size for an equivalent amount of flash, and therefore should be...

Why dont HardDrive Manufacutrs make 5 1/2" drives?

Faster How? Is it just because the heads have to on average move further on bigger drives? Because i would think that with a larger plate the outer data would be faster because its moving faster with the same rotation speed of the disk?

How to Switch which monitor is ID #1 and ID #2?

I figured it out. Its under "Change Dispaly Configuration". When you have two monitors enabled you get two different configuration options in a dropdown menu. The two options have a differnt order for the displays. The one you want to be #1 has to be the first one. Thanks for your help :)

PC Turns off, but Power light stays on????

I just noticed that my 3.3 Voltage rail is running high. between 3.6 and 3.7 V. But i dont see anywhere in the bios that lets me specify whether or not to have the computer shut down if it detects this voltage is too high. Maybe i have a bad PS???

why so few Dual DVI cards?

With the popularity of LCD skyrockting, why dont the mainstream dual head graphics cards come with dual DVI? I want to run dual LCDs , but I cant do it with a new 9800 or 5900. Any ideas as to shy this is? Is anyone planing on making dual DVI cards based on these GPUs?
