New vid card

Tried driver cleaner, dosen't get rid of nv4_disp.dll and nv4_mini.sys, I've tried renaming these files in the dllcache and have removed them from backup and the NTserviceunistall but yet everytime I delete or rename the files they are replaced two seconds later.

Cant figure out prob- no video but card works - help!

Check your motherboards stands did you put one too many in or one in the wrong place? If so this would cause a short and the system wouldn't boot.

Ok got it working now, apparently seti (unlike my ips provider) is picky over the use of capital letters. Typed the first letter of my email address using lower case and it worked. And the sweet thing is it's estimating 2 hours and 27 minutes to be done, which is a heck of alot faster. Thanks guys!

This just dosen't seem to want to work for me. If I choose option 1 and enter my email address then it tells me "no account exsists with that address", If I choose option 2 and fill out all information I get "no account exsists with that address". And it's driving me freaking nuts!

I just have one question, I have a barton 2500, why does it take so long for me to do one unit? I noticed some are doing a unit in six hours or less. Takes about eleven for me to complete one.

Budget DX9 GF FX based video cards from Nvidia

Well as far as DX9 support goes as a selling point, what has been the best selling card on the market in the last year if not the geforce Mx line which is DX7. So for the average consumer I don't think it'll sell because of the DX9 support, it'll sell because it carries the latest geforce name...

I got a 9700 PRO. A 9800 PRO is not worth it...correct?

According to the reviews the difference in performance wouldn't justify the purchase of a 9800pro if you already own a 9700pro.

3 Mobo questions: New Onboard sound vs. Old SB Live! Value + 2 minor things

I have the same onboard sound using the AC'97 codec and I also have a SB Live! Value card. I haven't noticed any difference in sound quality, the only problem I've noticed is that with my 4.1 speakers the onboard dosen't use the rear speakers in some games like CS. But if you have a 2.1 setup...

a7v333: Why does it support pc2700?

I have the same problem with my MSI Kt333 Ultra board, supports the ddr333 ram but not the 166 fsb. The funny thing is though that the MSI kt333 Ultra2 board does support the faster front side bus and uses the same chipset. Now I may be a noob here but I fail to understand why the revision...

As I said to stinger I've already tried that and it still says that my active X is disabled, no matter if I enabled all active X controls even the dangerous ones.

I try and join ubi.com to play GR and it keeps telling me that my security settings do not allow active x to be run on this site. Now I've gone into my IE settings and enabled all active x settings and yet it's still the same problem. And I not going into the correct spot? Is there somewhere...

I have 4 svchost.exe running, which one caused your problem and what excatly does svchost do? I haven't had the problem since my reinstall of zonealarm, so I'm hoping thats the end of it.

Thanks, but explorer isn't the problem. I do however think it was zonealarm, it happened last night and just for the hell of it I turned off zonealarm and the cpu usage dropped back down to normal. Maybe the program got screwed up or something, but I've since reinstalled ZA and haven't...

graphics card incompatibility???

Have you tried running dxdiag.exe and clicking the disable and then enable direct3d button. This happened to me once and even though it said it was enabled it wasn't and none of my directX 8 features would work. Worth a shot!
