:)
A truely dedicated D2OL guy.
I'll start up some of the rigs again. I just would like to see TA #1 in some of the others as well.
Where do I find this Robor fella?
Is this possible? I searched the forums and can't find exactly what I need to do.
In D2OL I could remotely start a client running without any form of login with the "at" command and then have a batch file modify controller:file to stop the process. So far I've reviewed all of the addons which...
Same here. Just give the word and I'll jump back in. For now I'm testing a few nodes on Seti. If I like Seti that's where I'll be unless we need some more soldiers on the front in the battle against DPC.
I'm with ya there Geoff. This is all we need with our current goal!!
I'm going to try and stop and restart the machines hopes it will do some good, but it apparently will not with what Ken just mentioned.
Does anybody know what problems this update can cause (if any) yet? My production appears very low for how many dual processor nodes I have crunching. I manage them all remotely in file controller mode so I can't check any gui for software levels.
Another thing; I normaly spot a problem node...
I just turned on 7 or 8 of my inactive nodes until the new year. Hopefully this helps us tip some cows sooner. We have to do this before the new year. Sorry my stats have been lower lately. I was getting a bad vibe at work so I had to cool it down a little.
Lets go team!!!!
:)
I can't say for sure, but I think we will be hiring VB programmers and possibly PDM specialists soon. If you live in the Detroit / Auburn Hills area send an email to painter1@grieko.net with a description of what your looking for. I will forward it to the appropriate people.

I said that wrong. I do the same thing they probably are doing (in a way). I keep it on the same machine though.
I copy the directory to 2 or 4 dirs depending on how many processors, then launch each on ein file mode.
Just so you know that's what I do with my multi processor machines. I can't imagine one node getting that much though. It is probably D2OL stats getting weird.
I'm trying to catch you, but I don't think I ever will. You mentioned an overhaul that I suspect will make it even harder for me. The main thing I want to see is for the team to "rm -rf /*" to the 1,2, and 3 teams.
There are many wild turkeys by me, but I only see them when I'm deer hunting. The amazing thing is that they sometimes eat with the deer like they were invited over for dinner. My guess is that they are teaming up and taking advantage of eachothers senses of approaching danger.
I mainly get out hunting for all of the cool stuff I always see and of course, the occasional taking of a deer.
Once I had two bucks fight about 50 feet from me. That was so amazin I couldn't think of shooting one with my bow until it was too late. Several times I have had does and fawns eat...
I know most people don't think of this and I don't blame them, but if you're not a vegetarian and you don't hunt then you obviously support the imprisonment of animals from their habitat in very poor conditions to be pumped up with steriods just to be killed at the most convienent time. Poor...
okay maybe next week then Geoffs. I'll do some adjustments myself next week. I want to be ready before the holliday so I can take advantage of the four days of non stop crunching.
Some of you other guys are ready to rock. I want to see this!!
By tomorrow night some time I will meet my long awaited goal of 20,000. Hopefully the router stays up.
:)
To me this sounds like a good reason to have a party!!!
Gulp!
The mad bear got you.
The velocity and energy from a 30-06 is much more than a shot gun. Close range might be alright though, but I wouldn't want him that close.
I would love to have the time to try this.
Bow hunting really is the way to go for the best experiences.
lynx,
What state are you in?
I'm hoping to finally get out Thanksgiving weekend.
sorry I've been quiet. Very busy lately. I'm getting ready for a multi-site Ford and GM upgrade and building a garage at home. If the servers stay up this weekend I'll actually put in some time into adding some horsepower.
YeeHaa!!
I'm going to turn the ignition switch on some of my inactive nodes for this. I think Geoffs has a surprise of some type though. He will probably let me get close and then flip on the nitro. Either way this sounds fun!
:)
Thank you! Watch out Geoffs!
jk
My weekends are usually more productive.
I'm looking for advice on some other projects I should participate in with TA.
Keywords to me are "Remote" and "Batch Files"
:D
