How to test quality/reliability of internet connection?

No other reason than I already have one of the drives. It probably would be a better IDEA to go 4xSATA and sell off the IDE or keep it for backup images.

Best mobo to get when Conroe hits?

I'm personally waiting for the nForce 590 SLI Intel offerings. It's a tough choice between the Intel chipsets since the 975X has CrossFire support, but the 965 has more native SATA ports and many more partner boards with passive chipset cooling.

What is the fastest low profile 3D card?

need help understanding Raid0

Telling him to not use RAID at all is rather foolish. If you buy drives of good quality you have nothing to worry about. The speed increase I saw with my 2x120GB WD SATA RAID0 was well worth the cost.

Sound Blaster Graphics? What the hell is that? Anyway, you're going to want an Athlon XP CPU for that system. However, the newer models would probably require a BIOS update to work correctly with that board. I'd go for an XP 2100+ or something like that, that would probably be supported.

Upgrade: Barton 2500+ to Barton 3000+

Definitely not worth the money. A nice overclock to 11x200 with that 2500+ is all you need. It makes all the difference and you won't see a very large jump in temps.

temp problem.

It'd be a good idea to get the latest BIOS release as hjo3 mentioned. I know that when I received my Abit NF7-S 2.0, my BIOS reported excessively low temps. Updating it corrected the problem and reported the correct readings.

CD-R software cost more than the drive ?

The software that came with your 16x burner is probably locked to only work with that drive. Nero does that with the software that comes bundled if I'm not mistaken. As mentioned above, there are many freeware options out there as well as the built-in burning capabilities of Windows XP...

What do you mean there aren't many options available for RAM? I'm confused by that statement. Anyway, if you're not going to be overclocking then go for the PC2700 and save a few bucks.
