Not Receiving Digital Channels

Tablet for under $250

yup, just picked one of these up for my wife, decidedly non techy...just wants to grab email, shop and do facebook and occasionally play simple games. For $245, she'll be set for probably 2 years, by then hopefully a big step up for similar price. Played with one of these at local Office...

Interesting. I've typically only heard good things about Denon support and products. Not sure I'd ever buy high end electronics from someplace called Accessories4less though...in fact, I'd avoid anything that uses "4less" in their name...

3 interesting new games on Steam

yeah, not sure wtf this means...a good game is a good game, whether indie or mainstream. problem is, mainstream games that are actually "good" and not just "good-looking" are few and far between. Of course there are crap indie games too, but you won't likely spend $60 to find out... I guess...

Seems to me there have been some pretty fun games lately with crappy graphics. 10,000 comes to mind most recently. OTOH, beautiful, crappy games are a dime a dozen.

Someone tell me I am not experiecing teh Placebo Effect (Palemoon)

Been using Palemoon for the better part of a year now...I had the same experience. If it's not real,or only a little real, I'm OK with that. If it seems faster to you, it probably is. Just go with it.

What is the benefit of playing game at 1920X1080?

It doesn't matter at all if the game you are playing sucks. If the game is good, it can add an element of immersion. Ultimately, the enjoyment of a game is in the writing/acting/production value. Same as movies.

depending on where you live, there are foundations that take computer parts to build and give to people/students in need. It's also a tax write off for you. It's what I do and it's simple.

SSD recommendation

what bb sez is true. And definitely go for a larger drive, 120GB would be great for OS and major programs. There are many good drives out there, and a few not so good. Crucial M4 dependable, as are the Samsung drives (if you can still find a Samsung 830, snap it up if the price is right). I...
