If you can get a good deal on it, great toy to buy. I'm using a 104 (OEM A04) and I'm very happy with it.

i don't get it (ati driver myths)

Dampening/Quieting a Computer Project

Why OC for silence? Unless it's an easy OC, like a P4 1.6@2.13, the issue is that OCing is a cost cutting manuver unless you are overclocking a high end chip (in which case you need serious cooling), and silence costs money.

DVD-R, DVD+R Owners......please post here!

They do. I had some Apple Verbatim OEMsm but then my PS2 decided it didn't like any discs manufactured by Verbatim anymore. I also had some Apple Maxells, but I didn't really feel like trusting them, so I just returned them.

New DVD burner best media and source?

I use only TDK media, and it works great even on my crappy ailing PS2. I buy them retail for about $4 apiece at CompUSA, but if you look online you can probably get it cheaper.

Best Gaming Mouse

I love my MX700. And I'm not some undersensitive twit that can't tell the difference between a 30ms LCD and a 16ms LCD or anything, I am very anal about things that involve sense. I can tell you that there is absolutely no sluggishness with the MX700, and anybody that says otherwise either...

If there was a PCI version and I could somehow get a second LCD, then I might consider getting one for $150 for use on a second display for 2d stuff (but only if the 2d quality was noticeably better than a DVI TFT on the 9700 Pro).

Instead of bumping here, go to Sudhian.com's forums. They have a forum dedicated to SFF PCs, and one of the regulars is a rep. from Shuttle. You'll get your answers far more quickly and they'll probably be better, to boot.

KDS, the worst monitor manufacteur ever

Right here I've got a 3 1/2 year old 19" Visual Sensations CRT, and it still works great. Best deal I've ever partaken in, $300 back in mid-1999.

Opinions wanted! What speaker set works best with PS2 for around $100?

Why bother? Either use your TV speakers or go all out.. If you buy a cheap set of speakers, they won't sound very good and they won't have a Dolby Digital/DTS decoder, the two reasons to even buy a separate sound system for the PS2.

why don't CRTs have scaling issues?
