Why do you hate the Ultra X-Connect 500W PSU?

I have one in my current rig and it's working great. It's nice only having the cables I need and not having the case all cluttered up. However, the first one I bought was DOA. So, it seems you have to flip a coin to see if you get one that works or not. When I bought it a year and a half...

This was the lowest rated of the three coffee pod machines in December's Consumer Reports. The Melitta was 1st, the Senseo was 2nd, and this Black and Decker was third.

Ultra X-Connect 500W PSU

I like mine a lot, however I did get a DOA one the first time. I had to return it at my cost to ZZF since it was within 30 days of purchase which sucked, but the 2nd one worked great. Running an A64 rig and it's nice to not have a bunch of cables getting in the way.

Bad Experiance with Ultra Products

Hmm.. you can add me to the list of people with problems. I just built a K8N Neo2/3500+ system with a Ultra X-Connect 500W, and it lasted about 6 hours. Then it developed a problem where it would only work if it was oriented vertically, not horizontally. Chalk that up as the weirdest problem...

It's still $350 at http://www.buyxtremegear.com if you're willing to risk it.. according to the reseller ratings the in stock indication on the site is always wrong, and they charge your card right away. So if it's not in stock, they'll hold onto your money.

X800 or 6800 based PCI-e cards

I've been waiting for a 6800 GT PCI-E as well. Just search pricewatch for Nvidia and Express and you'll see all the cards currently available. I'm sure a vendor will list it as soon as he gets them in stock.

Credit Card Deals

Thanks for the info... Was a tough choice deciding between Citibank Dividend Platinum and the Chase Perfectcard, but you get more money from the Citibank card (5% for gas/drugs/food, 1% everything else vs. 3% gas, 1% everything), it just takes longer to get it since they only mail it out in $100...

Here's the page about Warranty Replacement: http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/support/products/document/US/EN,CRID=322,contentid=5328 According to it, you have to call them up at 702-269-3457 and get a RMA # and ship it back to them. That's definitely not as easy as Microsoft's.

Got my new Intellimouse Explorer yesterday, after faxing last tuesday. Don't know if it's the 3.0 or 4.0 though, will find out Saturday when I go pick it up. No receipt was ever asked for.

I want to thank the guy who posted the tillamook jerky link.. that stuff is awesome... I got one of every flavor, my favorites were the teryaki, honey glazed, and Hot jerky. Not too tough, and just the right taste for each flavor. Much better than that crap in the supermarket from oberto.
