win2k wont shutdown

I installed a santa cruz sound card a few days back and ever since win 2k wont shut down. It shows the saving settings and shutting down screens but it just styas blue after that. I have disabled the onboard audio in the bios. Everytime I hav to manually turn the PC off. Its driving me nuts...

crushed usb plug, help!!

I stepped on the usb plug of my logitech elite cordless duo while it was in its socket. Now it wont be pushed back into a USB port. Can this thing be repaired/ replaced? Is it possible to cut the wires and join a new plus to it? Thnx.

Actually, I had it on the mobo for a couple of days and running at full speed. Looks like it doesn't necessarily blow the fan socket - at least not in the short run.

I have a generic power supply anf the fan seems to be in its last stages. Its getting quite noisy too. If its a bearing type maybe the bearings are wearing out or if its the sleeve type maybe its life is just up. Is it allright to change it? How does one go about doing it?

The SCF 2 actually came with an adpater for this purpose. I had thought it was just a usual 3pin to 4 pin adapter, with no rpm connector to mobo. me wrong. Thanks for the help.

At full power this baby seems to draw 8 Watts. Is it ok to hook it up to the mobo pwer header? I hope it wont blow away at that load.

CPU fan rpm doesnt show up

I did have it connected to the mobo. Maybe it was a faulty header though. I changed it to another one and now its working. Thanks.

Its an Epox 8K3a+. It has integrted 6 channel sound on it. It has a SPDIF connector on the mobo but no optical out. I think Boogak's suggestion about a bracket card will work. Any suggestions on where to actually procure one from? It seems to be real difficult to find a vendor for this stuff...

Is there anyway that I can boot through floppy or CDROM to the windows 2000 NTFS partition and change file names and all? I tried using DOS and Win 9.x bootup disks but they wont read NTFS. Any ideas?

CD-RW on RAID channel not recognized. Help
