Er, wtf? How did you manage that? It was in stock for about an hour this time (which beats the five minutes of previous rounds), but newegg just bumped the price to 280 once it was OOS again.

Moving mouse while USB is active causes Windows freeze

It's an old/board computer, it's not getting replaced for better or worse. PS2 is not really an option either. I'm going to try a PCI USB card. Hopefully that will help. As far as I know the PCI card should take care of everything USB and not involve the motherboard's USB at all.

Shoudl I go Widescreen?

An X1950 will be able to handle any of those types of monitors easily. Personally, I'm a fan of widescreen - 16:10 is so much better for movies and games. Almost any modern game supports 16:10 resolutions. Movies/shows still aren't perfect, since they're 16:9... what I really want is a...

Our 200 employee company goes through 50k sheets of paper a week

I used to test high-volume production printers. On a good shift, I could get 30,000 sheets through a machine. There were maybe 50 machines in the group. So if you really want to use a bunch of paper, try one of these.

It's absolutely possible. Numerous applications exist that can turn anything you want to do into a keyboard shortcut. I usually write my own with AutoIt.

A little help with CSS

That's HTML, not CSS, XNice. There are tons of CSS references on the web, try this one. You should be able to find your answer in a few seconds of googling. I think you are talking about "font-weight: bold". Also, if you are using tables, you are most likely not using CSS correctly...

Anyone have one of those Braun shavers?

I have pretty coarse and thick facial hair. I've tried both Braun and Panasonic shavers, and neither cut it (no pun intended). Both left way too much stubble, even after going over the same places many times at different angles. I also wasted about $180 on the Braun/Panasonic "experiment"...

My PSU sounds like a cricket

When I run ATITool to determine the max core/mem clock for my x800gto2, my PSU starts chirping like a cricket. It sounds just like one, a sort of alternating buzz. I'm wondering if it's a symptom of anything bad, like an overload. PSU: Antec 430w that comes with the P150 GPU: X800GTO2...

Correct/Preferred OS Installation Procedure

Montag's list is fine. Make sure you install a firewall AND antivirus before you connect to the internet. You'll catch something within ten seconds otherwise, no kidding. Also, it would be a good idea to defragment in between installing things.

I have a 5+ year old computer with a P3V4X MB and a 1300mhz Celeron slocket. I've had minimal problems until recently, when it began giving me nothing but trouble. IDE devices stop responding occasionally or Windows freezes when I try to access them. This includes any of my three hard drives...

What's faster, 2 drives in RAID 0 or a 10k RPM Raptor?

Check out the "Storage" tab up top. Anandtech has done a lot of reviews - there's even one with Raptors + RAID in the same one. Basically, RAID0 will give you zero performance with desktop apps + games. Raptors will give you a 5-10% performance increase.

DFI LANParty nF4 SLI-DR - PSU Recommendation

Make sure you get a true 24-pin PSU. A 20-pin PSU + adaptor can cause problems, depending on your hardware. I have the same board with a SLI setup, and I went with the OCZ Modstream 520W. Worked great.
