I just bought an open box Gigabyte 1080 ti Gaming OC ( N108TGAMINGOC11 ) from Micro Center for a really good price. Instantly I noticed 1 of the 3 fans is not working properly.

Hey all, the topic states the decision. Main usage gaming at 2560x1440p 144hz. From benchmarks I can see that the RTX 2080 is better but by not so much though (~5fps). The price difference is $180 up to $227 depends on the manufacturer.
I am looking to buy a GTX 1080 Ti and the ZOTAC GTX 1080 Ti AMP! Edition is the cheapest card i can find around. its significantly cheaper than all the other 1080 Ti cards. So is that card good? I am a little worried about the temps on the card and i was unable to find any reliable reviews.
As the title suggests, which one would be better for gaming?
i play at 1440p @ 144hz but anything close to 60 is acceptable, so a strict 144fps is not mandatory.

32 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz Cas 16 Ram (2 x 16 GB)
240 GB SSD (Boot drive)...
Salvaging some parts from my current system to upgrade to the Z370 / 8700k that's coming soon. Want to pick up some parts in the meantime and wanted to get advice on the parts that I've selected.
