Seems like Dell's online status is delayed.

I ordered and cancelled two orders yesterday and was told via email this morning that they didn't catch the order in time. I was told to refuse both order (which they gave me tracking numbers to). I went online to Dell and see what the status say. Guess what....no package tracking information (ie UPS/Fedex tracking number).

So I guess they do have the info, but the site is delayed. Keep in mind that unless you are positive that it is shipped, calling to get the info MAY cause the rep to tack on the shipping cost again.

Thanks for the very hot deal. Ordered mine just now with overnight delivary went through without any problem. Got 2 e mails from dell should be shipped latest by july 3rd. Cheaper than buying a replacement cartridge for my HP Deskjet.

Hmmmmmmmm is this a trick question ? NO NJ 6% TAX , NO Next Day Air Delivery (Thank You,God for making it FEDEX and not satan's UPS !). NO PM, NO going out to Staples in this friggen heat and humidity.

I can believe it! I got into work this morning and there it was . . . an Epson Stylus 880 Retail Box from Dell! Not only was the overnight shipping free but they shipped yesterday even though it said my order was delayed. Go Figure. One of the hottest deals yet!!! Thanks.

Just ordered from Dell, received the shipping confirmation ($62.30 total, ship by July 3rd) within a half hour, downloaded the $30 coupon from the Dell website, and am jazzed! Awesome deal Athena, Thanx!

Thanks for the super deal. I was ready for a new printer: My Epson 800 jets are forever plugged. The repair center quoted $55 for repairs with no promises. I took up this deal and I went through ebate for another 2%. Thanks again for the find.

HawkEyeNJ, if your message was to imply that I did not carefully READ everything and follow the Links, you are sadly mistaken. I did all of that and placed my order in my cart to be payed for later. When I went to pay, it would not accept the order saying that a promotion was no longer in effect ... and it removed the printer from my cart. I tried to go to the printer from inside Dell's site but it was not there. Finally, I followed the links back from here and did get to the printer and got it ordered by redoing all my previous order steps. Maybe it's just my computer, but when I tried to download the rebate form from Epson, it would not download or print. In view of the statements regarding the UPC having a label over them, maybe the promotion that is no longer in effect is the rebate. I am going to try to download it again now.

I ordered using the provided link, but it did not give me a 20% discount. I have emailed Dell about this, but no response yet. Also, it charged shipping AND sales tax, even though I don't know of any Dell stores here in Missouri. So this is turning into a not so hot deal for me.

Maybe I just don't know how to do it right.

bobclay54: i just went to dell accessory store and did a search for the epson 880. clicked the $79.00 one and added to my cart. my 20% discount was there and the shipping still is $0 whichever way ya go....

i ordered one yesterday, but now am seriously considering getting a second at such a awesome price.

Don't worry. ".....will be communicated following receipt of your online order." If Dell wants to change more, it has to communicate with you. Merchants can only charge the amount that you "authorized". If not, anyone could open a store and rip every customer off

UPDATE Once you are on the page click on ADD TO CART. When next page comes up click on estimate shipping and tax . In the pop up window Town state zip CHOOSE NEXT DAY AIR then click on blue button with arrow in it. PAGE will then update order. Next CHECKOUT right away ! Do not add anything else to the cart. If you are a new customer a questionare will come up just fill it out. And just keeping heading for the checkout.

Just got off the phone with a very helpful lady at the Epson Rebate Center.

* They WILL honor the rebate from this dell.com purchase
* However, the printer does not ship with an invoice or packing slip
* Epson will not honor rebates sent with just the email confirmations or web printout

go to the dell website and click the
Request an Invoice link.

Regarding the number of rebates you can get, I have called rebate centers in the past who used the exact same language and was told that means one product per family. You will need to send to different address or try your luck.

I just got off the phone with Epson, inquired that if I purchased 2 printers, same receipt, will I get both rebates. The response was "you need to submit a seperate rebate form for each and be sure to attach a copy of the receipt to each rebate form"! That's what I expected based on the wording on the rebate form, but I wanted to confirm.

Looks like Dell finally put shipping charges up on their site? So now appears those are figured in with the order.. I didn't take a chance with the Turtle Beach sound card I ordered yesterday -- should have, would have been in my hands today but I was weary of thier disclaimer saying that shipping costs weren't figured into that price.

Anyway, $4 shipping ain't bad for a printer.. I think I'll get in on this too Been buying the throw-away printers for college each year, and it's more of a pain in the arse than anything else -- cause you know when you buy it that it's gonna be slow as molasses and print pretty crappy. Plus that Zio compact flash reader was calling my name too =)
