Yet another great deal. Thanks everyone. I had just gotten the 480SXU from Staples for $19.99 ($49.99 - $30.00 rebate, still waiting for rebate), but now I can give it to a friend and keep the better printer for myself. Lucky I just got a new job.

Just got back from the local Staples.. after trying a PM and the Manager about had a stroke when he saw the Dell Print out I had. " I.. I .. I can't Match THAT.. thats ... tha.. below my cost!"

he prolly would have had a heart attack if he woulda ok'd that and I pulled out the $10 off $40+ coupon too. hehe

oh well.. guess I saved my self even more money by not getting it, and then having to wonder when that rebate check was gonna show up.

gratz to those that did get in on the deal.

Update on Delay status and other questions:

My order also shows delay status on the website, but I had to call to confirm my billing address, and she said that my order has gone through, and warehouse has already been notified to ship the product. Apparently no other charges have been added even though I did select next day shipping. CSR said my order might have even gone out today, but no later than next tuesday, but she said probably tomorrow. So don't freak on the delay status, I think the website updates a bit slow. Also, free overnight shipping.

Flaming deal at Dell.com

Screw Staples, I failed the PM at 3 stores, wasted time and gas driving around to save less than $10. Not worth it... get it at Dell.com while it is still available.

How's everyone finding the printer? I don't know anyone that owns an Epson. I owned an Epson many years ago, one of those Dot-matrix ones.
That's a POS now.

i got it on the compusa deal for my pop on father's day. as soon as he came in from church (financial officer has to stay later) he unpacked it and hooked it up. after making him actually READ and FOLLOW the directions (tuff luv), we printed a paper he's writing for some proposal. all the time that this is going on, he is making this face with his lips pursed and twitching. i asked my mom what was up and she said "he ain't made that face since we gave birth to you."
so i'm really happy with it (one of the family's main concerns was that his next printer had to be quiet). thanks agin to the posters of the compusa deal with the two rebates noting it could be used in conjunctionNOTE: expiration date for the gift card's postmark is 6/30/01 so send it off if you haven't already...

Hi, My names Twister, and I'm a REBATEAHOLIC.

Just ordered my second one. First one should be here tommorow. Bought 2 of the 480SXU's a month ago. One of which is still in a sealed box with the UPC on it. Plus a Canon printer that's less than 6 months old. I need 2 more printers like I need a hole in the head. But how do you pass up a great deal like this!

Hmmm.... just tried this GREAT deal (thx Athena!) and got quoted tax for delivery to Florida. No Dell B&M in this state that I know of. Anybody else have this experience? BTW, the quote for overnight shipping is $0.

I'm not sure how that tax law works. There isn't a single Staples B&M here in Louisiana, yet they charge me tax when I order from staples.com

Just found out from Dell CSR that because they have a customer service center in some rural Florida town, they can get away with charging tax. Doesn't seem right to me...

Sounds like you might want to take advantage of today's hot ebay deal, all listings for free

BTW, anyone know what the name of that program to track your rebates are? I have about 10 out right now and it's getting too much to use the "post it note on my computer" method.

Is this a dead deal - when I do a search the only price I see is the $129 one - the sku number that was provided earlier doesn't work either? Enquiring minds want to know!!!

The above Epson link doesn't work. So I checked the Dell site for the 880 and the price is now 129.95. Here's the link: 880. Looks like the 33.00 deal is dead.

FYI: Anyone who bought the CompUSA 880 $99.97 -#2 $30 = -$60 rebates, with Amex Blue can get the $63.20 price, making it "pert near" free.

I faxed in my cart printout for the $79 -20% pricematch. ...not that I bought it at Dell. It may be an OEM serial #, on the $79 on vs. $129 with rebate link.
