Sorry to sound like a newb, but I can't for the life of me make my 1and1 domain package to work correctly with the AT hosting package. I set the nameservers correctly and set the domain to default to the home directory, but it's not working - it just brings up a 1and1 "This domain has been registered to a 1and1 customer" message. Is there anything special I have to do to get an existing domain to work using your nameservers, or do I need to forward it somewhere?

Sorry I can't help you out other than to emphasize that 1) 1and1 sucks and 2) always register your domain with a domain registrar.

If you can, I would recommend transferring your domain registration to NameCheap.com

I can't get email forwarding to work. It should be fairly simple right? Put in the domain email addy i want to use, then forward it to the mail address i want it to receive at? But doesn't seem to be working. I'm using DirectAdmin, is there anything setting i have to enable or anything?

I did the HTML by hand. I have been learning a little at a time and there are some good sites that can help with it.

Don't know about registering a domain. I really like 'free'....LOL

I did the HTML by hand. I have been learning a little at a time and there are some good sites that can help with it.

one quick question. Has anyone had a problem with simple ftp. I can't seem to login, takes my password and then just kinda stalls. I'm using active transfer.

I'm having similar problems problems using Smart FTP. No biggie, though; I'm not going to complain when this is a free service

No complaints at all on my end. Its more of just an "am I going insane" or what is the deal here. If it doesn't work right now thats fine I won't keep trying to fix it on my end then.
