IBM Thinkpad 770ED model 9549-5AU. Battery doesn't seem to charge (stays at 0). Doesn't turn on - the small LCD above the keyboard shows the flashing symbols, the fan makes some sound, and then it goes dark and quiet. Power supply NOT included, uses the IBM 16V barrel connector. 5GB hard drive. One 32MB RAM stick. No visible damage to body or LCD.

Sony notebook PCG-Z505SX (P2/366, 64MB RAM, more data at http://www.dealtime.com/Sony-VAIO-Z505SX-PCG-Z505SX/prices). Display backlight does not work. No hard drive (caddy present), RAM slot empty, long-life battery 4.2Ah worked well last time I tried. No power supply.

Are you looking for one of those "exact" fit type shiny chrome bags, or can it be a bit bigger?
I thought I had a spare exact fit one, but they seem to all be wrapped on drives, till I get them installed that is.
The one I got with no occupant is slightly less than 6 1/2" x 10".

I do like to keep extras as I am always getting some old rig that I remove parts from, and stick them in the bags.
IOW's, I may have the tight fit bag available yet, if you want to wait or nobody else has a spare for you.

I sent one in an envelope (letter size) that the PO claimed, though lite and flat when held down, their sorter would require going to the next size for .88 cents.
