Looking for a not-horrible verizon phone. My Nokia Intrigue is flipping out - likes to randomly restart, think it's still charging, turn itself off when I get a text, etc.

Isn;t that normal?

Ill dig around to see what i have. It might be hard to find a verizon though :\

well I really just need one. I can't imagine shipping would be more than 2 stamps?

if it is domestic (in USA) then a normal envelope would cost ~$1.04 to ship between 2-4 ounces. I've never tried to fit a dvd into a normal envalope beore, if it doesn't fit then you'd have to use a large envelope. I believe large envelopes cost around $13 for domestic rigid items.

I could be wrong, I was only use the USPS site, don't actually live there. But I agree, even though you may only need one, it may prove more cost effective to pick up a small pack at an electronics store.

Oh yeah, they probably list randomly restarting as a "feature" too, and charge you more for it.

This is incorrect. There is no reason you would want to send it in a $13 flat-rate envelope. But a large enough envelope to hold a DVD would probably cost you about $2, which is well over the cost of a DVD.

Also posted this in the FS/FT thread. Looking for a network hub (not a switch or a router). Will gladly take it off your hands.

Thanks!

Offering a complete Klipsch Promedia 2.1 set in retail packaging. Doesn't power on, but was working fine before. I have fixed Promedias before, but I'm really hard pressed for time since I'm moving soon and it either goes to someone here, or into the trash.

Looking for a PCI-E Video card with S-video. A friend needs something with S-video to use the computer on an old TV. Doesn't matter how old it is either. I suppose a PCI video card would work just as well, as long as it will be able to do S-video under Vista.

I'm looking for parts for Folding@home machines. I think I'm a bit addicted to this project. I have a few cheap cases and hard drives available, but if you have anything you think would be useful for crunching numbers for medical research (anything newer than a P4 basically), I could definitely use it. (CPUs, ram, mobos, etc). If you have anything available that could make a good addition to a folding farm, let me know. I will help with shipping.

Strange request #2:

I need a suit to interview in. I've looked around thrift stores etc, but they tend to either be weird sizes (generally very large) or worn out / smelly. If anyone has a decent suit they just don't wear and would be willing to send me, that would be awesome.

I'm a 38R (slim fit is ok - I'm fairly thin). 32 or 33 waist.

Have given: RAM and other assorted computer bits - admittedly not too recently - I cleared it all out when I moved! I'll have to start acquiring things I don't need so I can give another round away.

I am looking for a keyboard for my Dell Latitude CSx. Mine has stopped responding to the period and the enter.
Also looking for Dell PA-9 laptop power supply.
Also looking for a PowerPC G4 QuickSilver power supply.

I've given lots, and there are some CPUs and RAM above that are still offered.

Adding offers for old CPUs from a dusty drawer: Pulled some years ago from working machines, but currently unable to test:
Socket 7+ AMD-K6-2+/550ACZ
Slot-1 Pentium III 650/256/100/1.65V SL3KV with stock passive heatsink

Pulled from a junk machine, have no idea about state:
Socket 603 Xeon 2.4GHz SL6EP, 2 units.

Claimed!

I have an HD 3870 with a messed up HSF to give away. It seems to be an issue with the fan, as I removed it and put an 80mm fan on top of the heatsink and it works fine.

Does anyone have an old lamp that they don't use? If so, I'm looking to get a replacement turn knob for mine. It fell off and I have no clue where it went...

You talking about the plastic knob on a 3-way lamp socket?

http://image.become.com/imageserver/s9/339772609-75-75-5-32/turn-knob-lamp-socket-2c.jpg

I got one, but the local P.O. wil b*tch if it's in a letter envelope. Bubble mailer will do it, but if they determine it's just a tad thicker than standard thickness (item in mailer) then they jack up the cost to ship it. Then it will cost you as much as it would to go hit the Walfart or Home Depot for a whole 3-way socket (w/knob).
You might find the knobs in a 10 pack or 2 pack - have them online, but item + ship kills that.

Best bet is a local hardware that's real good, and has all them little drawers that hold all kinds of weird little items. They may sport single knobs that will fit. Then Walfart for a China socket (aka:cheapo).

Or if you want mine, I can check with the P.O. on shipping costs.

Anyone have any processors that they don't want? Im collecting them to have in a glass table top as a conversation piece. I think it would be cool to see all different kinds of cpu's through the years. Doesn't matter how old or new.
