Please take off my hands:
- Compaq Presario 4640 -- found this lying on the side of our gravel road, looks like somebody just tossed it :/ It is missing optical drive, memory, and power supply. The inside looks VERY clean for an old PC (not covered with dust/discolored), from a distance it looked like a newer system. Outside is in decent shape, looks like all the damage was from the dump. Had to superglue some of the front panel's plastic clips, no major damage on the outside though. Also there's some minor dents/scratches in the metal part of the outside but again nothing major. No idea if it works, if you think you'd have a use for it and have some extra parts lying around it's yours for shipping.
- Ringover box -- similar to Catch-A-Call, works great but on broadband now so don't need this -- keep in mind it requires call waiting
- 1.44MB floppy drive, no faceplate
- 80x25mm Adda fan -- from a power supply, was kind of noisy so I replaced it; maybe it just needs oil, but I didn't want to risk it, so swapped for a new fan; still works, would be good if noise and reliability aren't an issue.
- One of those CD-ROM audio cables
- Extendable air duct (looks to be either 60mm or 70mm)
- ATA133 flat IDE cable and some screws
- Actiontec external 56k modem -- hardware based, RS-232 interface, good for Linux installs that don't work with softmodems
- Actiontec external 56k modem -- same as above, but this one supports both RS-232 and USB interfaces
- Various connectors (molex male and female, 3-pin fan female, etc.)
- Crapload of RJ-45 patch cables, PM for info on lengths and availability
- Dead Maxtor HDD (DM+ 9, 60GB, ATA133). Not under warranty, so it can't be RMA'd, but might be useful for parts, especially the circuit board
- Various fubar'd CDs -- Here's the story on these: All are (as far as I know) damaged beyond repair, i.e. parts of label scratched off, deep scratch in the plastic protective layer, etc. I can't stand skips in my music, so I have no use for these. In most cases it is only a few songs that exhibit skips, and generally they aren't too noticable, although some are pretty bad. Might be useful for the digipackaging/album art, all of which is in good to excellent shape. Or maybe skipping CDs don't bother you? I just hate to throw them away when somebody may have a use for them.
Matisyahu - Live at Stubb's
Korn - Follow the Leader
CKY - Volume 1 (this actually isn't too bad, showed errors on one track in EAC but I couldn't hear any skipping or other problems w/the ripped file, dunno if it skips in a CD player didn't test), just CD no album art.
