Anyone happen to have an ATX power switch from (perhaps from an old case or something)? I think the one in my brother's Dell is broken somehow. I'd like to get at least one, but I could use 2-3 and will pay shipping for them.

EDIT: purchased some online from www.bestbyteinc.com. The price and shipping are pretty reasonable, in case anyone else was also looking for switches. (they ship USPS parcel post, and take Paypal). Thanks to those of you who PMed me.

Thanks!

Bought some ATX switches, thanks for hte offers and info guys.

Would anyone happen to have USB 2.0 PCI expansion card (or know where to get one for a good price)? I'm willing to offer more than just shipping expenses.

These should work fine for upgrading to Windows XP, and I'm pretty sure they will install on non-Compaq/Dell systems. Additionally, they should work on Alpha, MIPS, and even PowerPC based systems, in case anyone has any of those systems laying around or just wants to experiment.

One CPU but will take a second which can be had cheap on Ebay. I will ship it for $50 but I recommend it simply go to someone in the area, you can pick it up for free in the Marlborough, MA area.

I did get the HD wiped, so no worries about that. You'll have to install your own OS but Solaris can be downloaded for free and Linux also works on it so that's no issue.

Send me a PM, I probably won't keep checking this thread.

Still available guys. I got the HD wiped so you can just grab it and be on your merry way.

As per the OP, recipient pays shipping, + the Paypal fees.

ALL GONE

To give:
This stuff

- An RCA CD-MP3 player. This one.
It takes AA batteries, and basically works alright.
It does not come with any accessories - no headphones, no batteries, just the player itself.
It has a yellow Walmart smiley sticker on the bottom. (sorry)
It is very picky about what brand of CD-RW it will read, but it prefers 4x or slower discs. I honestly never used it with a CD-R. It does just fine on commercial CDs.
Fast forward/rewind doesn't always work properly with MP3's - sometimes it'll lose its place and skip to the next song. That's what I get for buying the cheapest Walmart had to offer. Now you can get a shot at it for (almost) free!
gone, to Evander

- Sound card. (not pictured) Generic C-media 8738 PC sound card. Rear, Front, Line-in, Mic jacks. Software might be able to reassign the mic or line-in to subwoofer duties, I don't remember though.
gone, to ckwhy

- Philips speakers. They don't seem to be true surround-sound - as far as I could tell, the back speakers just clone the front, but maybe my PC at the time wasn't advanced enough. These come with a power brick.
gone, to Fin

- The motherboard is a Socket A board, FIC AZ11EA. Looks like the FSB and multipliers are set by DIP switches. KT133A chipset. I don't remember if the chipset fan is running good, or if it needs to be oiled. This thing put out very stable CPU voltages, varying by less than 0.02 volts, though I don't know how much of that was the Enermax power supply. None of the capacitors show signs of bulging.

gone, to Jawadali

- Samsung SV2044D 20GB hard drive. The pic shows the SMART readout last time I had the drive powered up, which was almost a year ago. Since then, it's sat utterly undisturbed on a desk. I'll run a chkdsk if there's any interest. I don't know how much of a concern the Raw Read Error Rate of 5 really is. My Seagate drives have error rates in the hundreds of millions, but they're always corrected through hardware ECC - standard fare for hard drives.
gone, to KurskKnyaz

- WinTV Go PCI card. I bought this one a few years ago used. Next to the tuner is a spot of some rubbery sticky stuff. It didn't interfere with the card, and I didn't care to investigate exactly what its composition was. No accessories come with this card.
gone, to KurskKnyaz

- A basic PCI USB card, exactly as pictured.
