Wow, it's been a looong time since I've popped in here, and it's nice to see the freebies flyin'

Free, just pay shipping - I'm figuring $10/shipped for the motherboards (w/cpu if you like) and $5 for the rest, USPS Priority.

AMD K6-2/500 w/HSF
Asus P5A SS7 motherboard

Intel Celeron 733mhz w/heatsink
MSI MS6188 S370 motherboard, w/int. graphics

IBM 2GB 2.5" Laptop HDD

These were working when pulled last year, but not tested since. Stuff was well-stored, so should be good.

If your local post office has the flat rate boxes, it will only be $8.10

http://www.usps.com/shipping/flatrate.htm

Yes, I know, but also the cost of delivery confirmation and Paypal fees.

DC is free online if you print the label and PP fees are only ~3%.

So he rounds up due to gas, time, and convenience... big deal. I typically round up to the nearest whole dollar too (both ways). We're talking squabbling over $1.63 here people

Wanted:
Working Socket A motherboard for Athlon XP 2200+. I connected a HDD that was a little wet, and burned out an IDE pair.

Have given lots, check my heat.
Still to give - working pulls:

Motherboard from indigo iMac 350 MHz (slot drive).

100MB IDE Zip drives.

2-port USB 1.1 PCI cards.

Parallel printer cables (6').

CD-ROM and slow CD-R/W (4X - 8X) drives. The latter I will test for CD reading only. These are pulls and I don't want to waste a CD-R blank to test writing. Or add $0.50 for a burn test

Please take off my hands:

- Slim Bluetooth 2.0 adapter (class 2) -- somebody bumped into it and broke the plastic casing (the adapter is very slim and flimsy), still works fine, and with a little superglue seems to be good as new
- 3ft DVI male to male cable
- 6ft VGA male to male cable
- P2 with outer shell/heatspreader removed, don't think it still works, good for a keychain?
- Fan mounting clips for Scythe tower heatsink (think they're from NCU-2005)
- Actiontec external 56k modem -- hardware based, RS-232 interface, good for Linux installs that don't work with softmodems
- Actiontec external 56k modem -- same as above, but this one supports both RS-232 and USB interfaces
- 2x 56k PCI softmodem -- one has a low-profile bracket, the other is full-size
- Various connectors (molex male and female, 3-pin fan female, etc.)
- 56k PCI modem *99% SURE IT'S FRIED -- GOOD FOR PARTS?*
- Crapload of RJ-45 patch cables, PM for info on lengths and availability
- Dead Maxtor HDD (DM+ 9, 60GB, ATA133). Not under warranty, so it can't be RMA'd, but might be useful for parts, especially the circuit board
- Various fubar'd CDs -- Here's the story on these: All are (as far as I know) damaged beyond repair, i.e. parts of label scratched off, deep scratch in the plastic protective layer, etc. I can't stand skips in my music, so I have no use for these. In most cases it is only a few songs that exhibit skips, and generally they aren't too noticable, although some are pretty bad. Might be useful for the digipackaging/album art, all of which is in good to excellent shape. Or maybe skipping CDs don't bother you? I just hate to throw them away when somebody may have a use for them.
Matisyahu - Live at Stubb's
Korn - Follow the Leader
... probably more to come soon

Looking for:

Quiet 80x25mm fan, think the one in my power supply may be on its way to fan heaven

Have you looked into if the board has any emergency bios update mechanism in place?
For instance, some mobos will check for a floppy drive, and check a disk for a .bin file and update the bios, if it has a bad bios burn.
Other mobos will still be able to show somethign on the screen if you have a PCI graphics card.
Etc.
Sometimes these emergency procedures are in the manual, other times they are on the manufacture web site, and sometimes you just have to google.

Some mobos (like gigabyte) even have dual bios so if one goes bad, the other is ok.

I'm in need of an lcd monitor for a workbench i'm putting together. It doesn't matter what the make, model, size, or condition is and screen damage is acceptable as long as it turns on. Basically i need something that takes up less space than a crt and is easier to move.

I have a broken Leadtek 6800GT TDH (minus the heatsink/fan) someone can have. This thing worked on and off for months until one day it just stopped working altogether. Maybe someone can repair it.

I've gotta couple N64 Games i'd like to give out to someone that would give them a good home. It would be nice if you have an old system for my aunts day-care that we could 'trade' straight across, but its not required. ^_^

Games:

Goldeney 007 (yep, in good condition)
Perfect Dark
Hey You! Pikachu (no mic included)
Dark Rift
*i think thats all of'em*

no boxes, just the games.

I need a socket 754 mobo. Nothing fancy, as long as it works.

Given away stuff in the past before, may have more later. I need to get some time to dig through my box again.
