In cleaning out my garage, I came across two ancient Best Data ArcadeFX2 cards. They use the Voodoo2 chipset. I have the pass-through cable and the SLI connector cable. I haven't tested them out to see if they still work.

If you live in the Portland, OR area and want them, they're yours for the taking. I work near downtown PDX so you can pick them up anytime during the week. If interested, send me a PM to arrange a meeting.

My son's ancient computer won't keep time and does very odd things. Does anyone have a cheap mobo/chip/ram combo to give? It can be anything you have, including celerons. As long as it functions, it's ok.

C'mon guys!! I did a little more research into these cards and now know that they EACH have 12MB of RAM. A total of 24MB of video RAM!!! Have you ever heard of such extravagance? Does your watch have that much memory? I thought not.

And I can expand the area of gifting to the South Puget Sound region and Corvallis, although timing may be a little more constrained since delivery will be dependent on when my parents visit next.

I am truly hoping to find a home for these guys. I remember playing Doom, Duke Nukem 3D, and Quake in software mode until I got these and was totally blown away by the true 3D experience. No gaming experience since has come close to it.

Could be the CMOS battery is dead -- you might try replacing it before getting a new setup. There's a good chance it's a $3 "2032" lithium battery, but check to make sure.

I got a free case to put together a cheap PC for a friend in need. Somehow the case does not have the regular round holes for the mobo standoff. Rather it has square holes. I was told I'll need square snap-in for the standoffs, like Lian Li cases. Does anybody have any of those I can try on? I don't want to spend $20 for standoofs that not work for a free case. TIA.
