$0.01 PC Games at Circuit City B&M (YMMV)

Here's a list of $9.99 marked PC games that ring up as a penny at CircuitCity B&M. I just stopped by my local CC and picked up a few titles, and they did indeed ring up as $0.01 each. I'll be the first to admit that the majority of these games are pretty crappy, but for a penny you can't really go wrong.

Why do they ring up for a penny? Do they do it on purpose to get rid of stock or is it a computer error?

One theory is that due to a $10 off $9.99 or higher PC game coupon floating around from PC Gamer magazine, they lowered the $9.99 games to $0.01 for easier transaction.

i went to teh CC in orange county, ca and they were not $0.01. in order to get it for a penny you need the coupon or you are going to have to have the guy that rings you up to apply the PC Gamer coupon package. the games listed above won't be a penny if the cashier doesn't apply the coupon package after scanning the game. btw, the guy i talked to said he would apply the coupon even if i didn't have one.

yea, I liked renegade, it was fun at some lan parties that we played it at.

Amazon Trail was a fun game I used to play as a kid, maybe it's good for a younger kid in the family.

Yep, that's why. I actually bought my first game before they made the change and they had big problems because the system would not allow me to purchase the game because it rang up negative after the coupon (9.99 - 10 = -.01). The manager had to come and do the transaction specially.

Where can I get this "PC Gamer Coupon"? and how much does it cost? what can I tell the cashier if it rings up for ten dollars?
