Well it is countdown time. I hate this, six listings sit there all week without bids until the last seven minutes. Two items have bids now. How are the other listers doing?

Smart bidding is to wait till the end, if you bid early all you did way bid against yourself and raise your potential final price

Those bidders sure got lucky. They didn't have to deal with a d--k who had no intention in holding a fair auction. Would they have even gotten what they paid for had the auction run its course? Hard to say. So you did them a favor.

So he sold it locally and pulled the auction while it was still time. That's within the rules and he still had to pay a listing fee. I don't consider a watcher to be a buyer until they have bid. Most want to sell a similar item and are just watching to see what you get for yours.

As for me 4 out of 6 sold for list price No huge runups in price. Eventhough we take all forms of paypal and use the blue PP symbol I still email the winning bidders and let them know that we have a non-cc PP account and they may use that if doing a bank transfer to save us the fees. The first person clicked thru and made a bank transfer on our main account anyway ^^$^^ <- That is a dollar with iwings

Then the person who emailed us at the start wanting us to list four in a lot finally got back to us and said that her computer was down all week and sorry she missed the auctions. Time to list some more.

How can you have a non cc PP account on Ebay? Ebay forces you to have a premier account (accept all forms of payment through paypal). Also, emailing people and telling them not to use cc's is 'against ebay rules'.

Yep, did them both a favor since the two watchers both emailed me after the auction with a lowball price and could have parted it out for more. Now a nice special needs kid has a laptop.

Oh good the ebay police are here. I am not emailing buyers telling them NOT to use a cc, just pointing out that if they are going to use a bank transfer I would prefer to use my non-cc pp account which I have had set up on a non-premier ebay account back before ebay started fvcking everyone for 10%+ fees by the time the transaction is done! And yes everything that doesn't make ebay money is against their rules.

BTW those buyers that save me money and pay on time get free bonus stuff.

Ebay has a half price listing fee for auction-style listings tomorrow 2-14. I was going to make a new thread but it didn't seem to quite warrant that givin the luke-warm/cool nature of the "deal". If you can wait, another $0.20 listing fee day will probably come around.

What pisses me off is items I see sold on Ebay for say $600. I list the same exact item we will say a guitar. Mine is in better condition and has a thorough description and tons of pics and no bids even at $300.... To make it worse is the other persons auction has like a bidding war of like 30 bids to my no bids. Also my shipping is reasonable where theirs are like $50 or more. Make matters worse is thay spek lik dis n it sellz lik itz freakying gowld.
