Not as cheap, but IMO a better deal is Burger King's "Mix and Match" Value meal special. (SE Virginia - don't know if it is national): get any two value meals for $5.00! That gets you a big sandwich, drink and fries.

At least in this area there is no skimping; it is truly ANY 2 meals, even the double Whoppers, etc. Wife and I had the original chicken and Big Fish yesterday. They are so crowded because of the deal you are also pretty well guaranteed getting freshly cooked food, and they had on extra hired hands to cover the rush.

I received a flier last week for this deal. They do this once or twice a year. Last year I think they had a limit on the number of burgers you could get per person (10 I think), not sure about this year.

Just got back fom lunch and the McDonalds I went to had no idea about tihs deal. Must be regional thing. I'm in Milwaukee, WI. But they go that $1 menu whic is pretty good.

I can almost guarentee that they have set a limit of 10, last time they had this deal I worked at McD's and ti was pure hell on this day. We must have sold over 5000 burgers, ran out of meat twice, had all four grills cooking more than supposed to running constantly, 8 people making sandwiches and we still couldn't keep up with the orders. I must note: the normal amount in the "grill area" for us was 3 at this time of day(we had 12) and these orders were in a town of only 7000!!! Also note: the 5000 number is a rough guess from counting boxes at the end of the night and only includes the H & C deals!!!

Just kidding, they give me constipated diarrhea ever since they switched to the "cheap" meat. I don't think it purely bovine meat either nor do I think its fresh.
