$0.49 DVD Rentals @Longs Drugs on Wed. (West Coast only)

Not sure if Longs Drugs or Sav-on Drugs is a national chain or only in CA. For the past month or so I rent THREE (it's the limit unfortunately) DVDs every Wednesday. It's beats the blockbuster $3.99 rent one get one free coupon that's for sure. I'll just take a wild guess and say they have about 150 or so DVDs but they're all relatively new. For every other day it's $1.49 btw.

Last time I was returning them (due at 6pm next day) I returned them at 7:45pm and they said don't even worry about it (late charge). This reminds me of $2 video rentals for new releases at mom and pop video rental shops till Blockbuster raped all our cities and then jacked their prices through the roof. Longs Drugs Store Locator

Not in St Louis. BTW, you can get one day rental of dvds, everyday, in Shop-n-Save for 0.99 cents here.

Here in Seattle, ALL videos (including VHS, DVDs and new releases) $0.99 a day every day... According to the sign it was $1.99 for new release and $0.99 for othere regularly, but since August they have made $0.99 for all...

I tried two Longs Drugs in San Jose, CA. Both were $0.99/day everyday. In any case, it's still cheaper than Blockbuster.

Thanks for the post.

Just checked with the store next door (sorry about you folks. I can deliever you a DVD or 2 but no more than 5 as long as the tips are good) --> They have a total of about 4-5 selections for DVD . (price IS $0.99 every day).

Tapes are also $.99. Not too bad.
