0451 3200+ Overclock

Well, i was bummed out when i got the "horrible" 0451 amd64 processor, but i think i ended up getting a good bit out of it with some possibly limiting components.

Epox 9nda3+
amd64 3200+ (stock heatsink, 0451, stepping BPMW??? anyone experienced this one)
256mb ddr266 (my ram wouldnt detect)
6800nu unlocked 16p 6vs
350w antec power supply with 16amp on 12v rail

I reached 260htt x 10 with the vcore right under 1.6, so 2.6ghz on a 0451. I am suprised. If i move it to 261 though it will not boot, I think there is more yet left in it after i get my new ram and power supply. I believe this because the comp restarts when the video card initializes right after the windows boot screen.

Let me know what yall think, and have yall heard of anyone else having this luck with the 0451????

Seems like a good overclock to me. Do you know what kind of ram you have or is it just generic PC2100 ram? I think the new PSU and the New ram is gonna help in the performance department but i dont htink it will magically increase your overclock by a significant margin. Maybe 2.7GHz tops, unless you got really lucky on the chip. BUt faster RAM always helps and ah heck PSU for stabillity purpouses.

Yeah, i know the ram wont help but i think a new psu *might* put it close to 270 or a fully stable mid 2.6, I hope anyways. I'm happy with it even if it doesnt though, i got 2.5 out of it for sure, and thats all I was really shooting for.
