'05 Winchester question

I can't seem to get HTT above 240 unless I have my RAM at 2:1 and multiplier extremely low, like 6X, and then I can get it to 300, but that's only 1.8 GHz.

Is it most like the CPU that's crapping out or the motherboard? I don't think it's my RAM anymore because right now I've been running Prime95 blend for about 3 hours at 225x11 1:1.

i'm not sure.. but my guess is that AMD realized their lower end were overclockable to higher end a64's and they decided to use chips that weren't so overclockable as low end and respectively the greater overclocking ones as higher end??..at least that's what i would do

check the SATA thread, there is problems with certain SATA ports not having the PCI lock on the NF3. try hooking your SATA drive up to port 3 or 4.

They are on 3 & 4. It shouldn't be that anyway since I CAN run HTT at 300 as long as the CPU speed isn't very high and I use a 2:1 RAM divider.
