I would think it does. I checked the newegg pictures before I bought from Dell. If its the same one as newegg, it looks like it does.

FDAreject- the vp171b i ordered from dell came with a DVI cable and an analog cable and two types of power cables.... and it's a friggin awesome monitor. For those who are wondering, it scales excellently for everything from old 320x200 DOS games to new games in 1024x768. you can hardly tell it's not in its native res.

I've compared it to the NEC1760 and the lower end viewsonics (vg, ve) and it blows them away. remember, panel is a lot but it isn't everything.

Mine has shipped as well. Im happy since I expected the 28th. I went with the Planar, since I am using a 21" now, and I didnt want to lose too much size. To be honest, my 21" trinitron is actually hurting my eyes. I thought it was a good monitor(compaq p110), but apparantly its not that great. I hope the Planar helps my eyes out. I am worried about the ghosting, but I rarely game(random madden games). Hope everyone else enjoys their new screens!

I think you can have both monitors hooked up, if your graphic card has dual ports. That's what I am planning to do.

I know this deal is dead but was wondering if anyone had an opinion on the NEC MultiSync LCD1920NX 19" LCD Monitor?

A friend of mine has the 1760 and it's sweet! I'm curious if the 1920 can even compare to it.

Received my Planar PL190M-BK today. Looks great on Geforce4 Ti 4200 (DVI). Text is very sharp and clear. No ghosting when play 3D games (Morrowind, Gothic II), or play DVDs. The only problem I have is I couldn't find and driver for this monitor, so I am using default digital panel 1280X1024 for now. Any hint on finding the driver?

Does anyone know any review for this LCD? I am very interested in it! Comes out to 426 shipped to CA! ... hmm....

Yup, I just got this one. Lots of input connections on it, adjustability, sleek design .... I like it

Just set up my Viewsonic VP171b last night. WOW It blows my old iiyama Vision Master Pro 19" out of the water. So bright and sharp, I love it! And playing q3...drool..so awesome!!!!! But of course I now just work with both the iiyama and viewsonic Dual displays are great!

Can anyone confirm that the planar came with a DVI cable? Also, is it pretty easy to run a dual monitor setup, as long as the vid card has both outputs? Thanks all

Yes it comes with both DVI and 15pin analog cables. If you have either ATI or nVidia based graphic cards that have both ports, Windows will automatically recognize dual monitors, and a wizard will pop up upon restart, then walk you through the setup.

I am still looking for a Planar LCD driver... but I guess I really don't need it, since all looks very cool so far.

Thanks paopao -
Just unpacked mine, and it looks awesome. I did restart, and in dos, both monitor displayed. When windows booted, it just went to my digital LCD and nothing displayed on the analog CRT. No menu came up as well. Will I use nView to set this up? If so, do i need to enable it to get the wizard on startup. Eventually, I hope to have all apps on the LCD with only movies and games on the CRT. Any suggestions? Thanks. I hope you are enjoying yours too.

I just wanted to ring in here.

the 1800fp is a LG monitor
the 1900 is a samsung.

now....you need to be aware of something about these LCDs and latency.

the specs are not uniform.

The time it takes a screen to go from black to white is the average response time for some brands
the time it takes to go between a middle gray to black (or white) is the AVERAGE response time on some other brands

its just like....car stereo amps...some rate RMS - some rate peak.

so you have to be careful about this stuff. tomshardware had a good little article - talked about how some 20ms screens were beating the 16ms ones.

with all of that said - the 1800FP rocks. it is the best ive ever seen. I used to get headaches when i started up CS @ 85hz - but with this monitor (rated at 25ms - aka 40 fps) no headaches at all. I cant wait to get enough money to get another - its that good. and its BLACK and it has 3/4" frame around the screen. get DVI and it is wonderful (well ok it isnt much different than the vga port but its cool to press auto config and it says "you are DVI you are $$".

Right click desktop>display properties> settings> check boxes: "extend my desktop onto this monitor (check for CRT)" "set as primary display (check for LCD)"
