That's what the Equinox/Torrent should have been.

Exterior = 5/10
Interior = 8.5/10

Reliability? Unknown at this point.
Typical reliability problems of GM vehicles? Unknown at this point.

Looks good on paper. Let's see how it does in real world tests and long-term reliability studies.

GM has a LONG way to go to catch up with Honda and Toyota AFA quality CARS, go. At this point, I'd even buy a Hyundai car before a GM product.

that interior looks better than anything Toyota has out right now.

let's not forget that the Buick Enclave will follow these to market with an even more impressive interior, and more luxurious trims/looks.

Earth to GM, ditch the goofy looking chrome on your Saturn line. Otherwise, it looks pretty good actually. My mom has been thinking about buying a VUE since my uncle got one. The VUE is a little too big for what she needs, the Outlook may be the "it" car for her.

I like the GMC for sure. I hate Saturn grills and I would never buy a Saturn, but yea - I like them.

So now, how much and how much power is that 3.6 putting out?

From the JD Power Initial Quality ratings:

GM Brands that were higher than Hyundai: Buick, Cadillac, Oldsmobile (what?), Pontiac, GMC, Chevrolet.

GM Brands lower than Hyundai: Saturn, Hummer, Saab. Saab was second worst - with 326 problems per 100 vehicles.

Buick and Cadillac were higher than Honda, Toyota, Acura, and the industry average. Pontiac, GMC, and Chevrolet were all lower than the industry average (a group that includes Mercedes, Audi, Mini, Porsche, and Nissan.

So while the entire GM lineup isn't better than Toyota or Honda, they're making some improvements.

Wow. Flat folding 2nd row captains chairs. Nice!

Might finally have a vehicle to seriously consider blowing some GM points on when the Highlander lease is up.

let's also not forget that the vehicles tested, are almost NOT available anymore. all of the previous reliability stats, are true, but the amount of new vehicles GM/Honda/Hyundai have out now compared to the VDS study is insane.

note: JD Powers also questions wether you like the suspension or not, on a vehicle, and that is part of the VDS.

I love the GMC Acadia. Screw the Highlander and Pilot...THIS is where it's at. I love the Acadia with the black/brown interior. Looks SOOO sweet. I mean, standard 3.6, 6-speed, SC, airbags out the ying yang...what's not to like? The styling is inoffensive, the interior for a change doesn't look like sh!t and I'm sure that those GM discounts won't be too far behind.

If I were in the market for a large crossover, the Acadia would be it. Toyota is taking to *&#$king long to replace its Highlander and the Pilot's third row is a joke IMHO (the Highlander's third row is even worse).

Kudos to GM for making some good stuff for a change. Next up, Holden Commodore/Pontiac G8

Nice interior. Can't they put interiors like this in a decent looking, reliable, fuel efficient car though? I know, that's asking a lot.

I wish GM would stop rebadging so much.

As for GM quality, the biggest concern is the materials. GM has pretty good reliability, but they still have a tendency to use cheap materials which, well, feel cheap.

This isn't THAT bad of a rebadge. The fenders front clips and interiors are different between the Outlook/Acadia.
