<< wait, to the person who said that electricity is required for a regular (non-rechargeable battery), aren't "normal" batteries creating electrical charges through chemical reactions? thus, they aren't "charged" with an electrical charge, they just have checmicals undergoing checmical reactions (yes i suck at explaining stuff). i remember reading about this crap in my 4th semester of physics... >>
perhaps he's referring to the power used to manufacture them?
I dunno
Regardless since everyone else has $0.02 in I may as well add mine, I think that these disposables are a great! idea for anyone to keep arround, think about it, you're flooded out/snowed in/held hostage by anal probing aliens that look like barbra striesand, in any of these situations it's quite likely that you won't have access to a main to charge from. In such cases this would be invaluable, you can't just keep a rechargable charged up for ever, I'm not sure what kind these are, but if they are the ones activated by O2 then that is probably the best, since I don't think they lose any charge at all hardly. anyways I should be studying for the GRE or something, so nuff of my $0.02
