Is there any upscan converter which can take say a 640X480 image or a 1920X1080 image and raise the resolution but still only display the original lines of resolution?
An example of what I mean is can any converter (DVI or RGB) take a 1920X1080 image and up it to 1920X1200, using black for the extra pixels and still have the active image be the same as the original input? Basically tricking the monitor that it was getting a 1920X1200 image but the pixels beyond the input resolution being black, so as to display the input image at its original resolution without stretching or scaling.
