1/2 price lawnmwers @ Sears YMMV

This is definitely a YMMV--I was at my local Sears(Lawrence,KS) tonight and saw that they had all of their gas powered push mowers for 1/2 off. These were the display models--not used. Lawn tractors were not part of the deal.Might be worth a call to your local Sears if you need a mower.

It takes a special talent to repost a blank post.lol.Anyhow,if you are looking for a mower it is worth a call.

6 months ago I got a craftsman Honda mower with a blade clutch,rear wheel drive and adjustable speed - it is SWEET. Sears has great warranty service too - I have an acre of rocks,sticks,weeds and roots and this mower does great. Easy start and quiet - 5.5HP but strong.
I need a hot deal on landscaping I quess.

Whoa, Craftsman and Honda merged? Dang... they were probably the 2 best manufacturers in the business. I have a Lawnboy, and it's been really hard to start it since the first year we had it. It's supposed to be top-of-the-line also -- special rust-proof alloy body, 5.5 hp, clutch blade, 3-speed self-propeller, etc. It was harder to start during the first year I had it than my 10-year-old Craftsman, so I guess the Briggs and Stratton engine in it just isn't as good. Honda mowers rock. My neighbor has one, and I wish I had gotten one also.

Craftsman mowers and snow blowers are kind of a crapshoot. They're made by different manufacturers. Some are good, some not. YMMV . I'd definitely like a Honda engine in my mower though.

I don't think Craftsman and Honda merged, just that Craftsman uses Honda engines on their mowers. Like your old Craftsman had a B&S engine, the new ones have Honda.

No luck in my Sears (SW Ohio). Best prices are about $40-50 off.

Went back today-- the mowers are now 60% off. I bought the Sears Craftsman with the Honda engine for $211. On top of that they let me return the cheap Craftsman I bought in July!! Out the door with a new mower for $12. Unbelieveable!!
