Alright, my first time overclocking and I ran into some troubles.
-Using the stock HSF, I realized that the fan blows on the heatsink and does not draw it away. Did I read wrong or is optimal cooling with the fan drawing heat away from the heatsink.
-Bumped the vCore to 1.625 and it is overvolting automatically to about 1.7-1.73, is this dangerous? (I knew that the Asus boards overvolt naturally anyway)
-I have a Leadtek WinFast GeForce4 Ti4400. I am using RivaTuner and tried to bump it up to 310/640mhz GPU/RAMDAC. During the 3dMark2001SE test (specifically at the Dragothic game high detail), my mobo beeps. Sometimes once, sometimes twice, sometimes high and other times low. It really confuses the heck out of me. I'm guessing I went a little too high because towards the end of 3dMark, the tests get bumpy, skip frames and what not.
-I tried to relieve this problem by bumping AGP voltage to 1.6v. This didn't help, I think it beeped more.
-I have no idea what I'm doing with RAM but I'm setting the latencies to 2-3-3-6 and I have CPU at 140FSB 4:5 ratio with vCore at 1.625 and vRAM at 2.6v. It seems to be working fine, tell me if I'm missing anything.
-One last one... :ant::... what should I set AGP/PCI Frequencies to. Default's 66/33 i think, and they go in increments of .33.
Someone, anyone, answer these questions. Otherwise, by Prime95, 3dMark, I'm running pretty stable at 140FSB 1.625v, 2-3-3-6 2.6v RAM, Ti4400 @ 300/630mhz, unless something I'm doing is terribly wrong. Thanks for your time.
