I recently sucessfully clocked my p4 1.6a to 2.5ghz and 375DDR using a Abit BG-7 motherboard
My CPU temps range from 45C (idle) - 59C (Prime 95). I'm a little concerned with the load temperatures and am considering an aftermarket heatsink/fan combo. I've read some great reviews on the AVC Sunflower but after searching these forums on it found 2 discouraging posts where users actually experienced increased temps using the Sunflower. I've also heard good things about the Arkua 8568 heatsink/fan combo and am wondering if anyone has used this one?
So what do you pros think.
1) Are these temps acceptable using the Stock Intel Heatsink/Fan with AS3?
2) If I decide to get an aftermarket heatsink/fan which one should I get.
PS: I aware that alpha makes an awesome heatsink/fan for the p4 but newegg has the heatsink alone for $40+ and then I'd still have to buy an extra fan therefore I'd like to only consider the AVC and Arkua.
