customer reviews for it sucks lol

it's 50 bucks?

Of course it sucks

still, probably in for one

Based on the reviews I would say you shouldn't put anything other than water and soft drinks in it (ie things that won't spoil).

This is not a true refrigerator but more of a cooler. I bought this unit when it was on sale a while ago and had to return it. I dont think the unit ever got below 50 degrees even after 30 hours.

So there is something worse than my fridge I had in my dorm room when I was in college after all. Mine would randomly get super cold and freeze everything  While at the same time melting my ice cream in the icebox :frown:

Yep, nothing like being woken up at 4 am by an exploding soda can in the fridge. Mine had a "Cool Zone" in the back half which froze anything unlucky enough to cross the imaginary line dividing front and back.

i guess i'm just lucky, i've had a few cheap mini fridges and they've all been fine. i have a little haier right now that keeps everything above freezing but still cold, so long as you don't place it directly below the icebox (common sense, that's the cooling element for the whole fridge)

You're honestly better off putting that $50 towards a decent fridge. I got a 3.0 cu ft sunbeam for $87 a year ago that gets cold enough to freeze my Brita water pitcher.

I don't think I was clear enough. This is not a traditional fridge with a compressor. There is no freezer unit in this because this thermoelectric system exactly like the electric coolers you take camping. This really is not a true refrigerator. Peltier cooling is nice because it's quiet, but bad because it doesn't really cool things past 20-30 degrees below ambient.

Like I said.

Buy the Fridge.

Drink the Free soda.

Return the Fridge b/c of the poor performance.

Get a regular mini fridge thats not Peltier designed.
