Some of the tea stores called Quickly have continuously running promos 89 or 99cents, but they're mostly in the San Gabriel/Alhambra area from what I've seen so far. Here seems like the only link for Socal locations I've found so far. The San Gabriel Blvd/Las Tunas branch has been running 89cent promo for at least 3 months now.

I dropped by the Miramesa Blvd store down in San Diego but they were closed on Sunday. Had to get my fix even while I was away from home territory.

Thanks for the Lollicup coupon! I visit it less frequently only because the flavor of their tea isn't my "cup of tea."

ok, got a question for anyone who knows. The coupon says there's a location in "West Los Angeles" and one in Westwood. On the store locator map, they only have the one in Westwood. Even googled lollicup and "west los angeles" found the resume of the store manager, but alas, no location or phone.

Give them a call (linked). Their hq people helped me notify a store that a promo was going on after the store denied knowledge of a promo. Let us know what you find.

Everything is relative... I drank my first boba nai cha at a night market in Tainan, Taiwan four years ago. My cousin fed this thing to me, and I was hooked!

From my favorite tea stand, 800cc of boba nai cha is NT$35 (US$1.03) and 400cc is NT$20 (US$0.59). You can get it cheaper, but those are the prices from my favorite place... and the worst milk tea I've had in Taiwan is still orders of magnitude better than anything I've had in the States (from Tapioca Express and some local places)!

The difference being that they make this stuff in Taiwan right there in front of you... the tea is brewed and hot, put over ice, milk powder, corn syrup, and FRESH tapioca added; shaken and then strained of the ice.

In the States, they scoop stuff out of a giant bucket and put these soggy brown balls in it. Eeiiwww.

Somehow, the service is also faster overseas... and the girls who work at these places are the real reason I keep going back!

The Milk Tea is pretty good. But too bad this coupon doesn't work with other flavors. The one in Riverside, CA (by UCR) wouldn't allow it for anything other than Milk Tea with Boba (as described on coupon).

My favorite is Peach Snow, with 1/2 boba and 1/2 lychee jelly.
