Hi Guys,

I have 1 Xbox 360 but happen to have 2x 20GB HDDs (1 that came with my Pro console and another that was given to me by a friend)

With the new NXE and installing to HDD option, I find that I am hardpressed for space in my current HDD which consists of impt save games to many of the games that I have played since I got the console.

I tried to switch the HDD with the other one and the console prompted me to recover my gamer profile. It takes about 30 minutes to recover the profile. And everything was dandy.

When I switched back to my original HDD to play some Rainbow Six, I was again prompted that another machine was using my profile and that I should recover the profile. So I proceeded to spend another 30 minutes recovering my profile.

So what happens now is that everytime I switch HDDs, I am prompted to recover my gamer profile which takes 30 mins up to 1 hour. Is there any solution to this problem so that I can use both HDDs. I could buy the new 120GB, but I feel that it is way overpriced and am not prepared to spend that kind of money and besides I have an additional 20GB HDD lying around unused. This is ridiculous man, I have only 1 Console.

Help?

Step 1: Obtain memory card
Step 2: Copy profile to memory card
Step 3: Profit!

Okay I will try....hmmm I didn't know you can just copy the profile to memory card...thanks for the info, will try... The xbox 360 memory card costs a bomb as well. *sigh* Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that I am not willing to spend money, but I am not willing to spend money on items you know are crazily and way overpriced.

Keep in mind you don't 'copy' the gamertag to the memory card... you transfer it. Microsoft doesn't allow your gamertag to be on more than 1 thing at a time. But if you just keep it on the memory card and remember to always have the card in, you're golden. It's a small thing, but the difference in terms is enough to throw people.

search ebay. You don't need a huge memory card. the 64meg one will be just find.

or hit up Circuit city maybe you can find it marked down to a decent price.

You could do like I did, and turn one of the 20GB into a 120GB drive. If you can build a pc, you should have the skills to do this. It cost me $55 and about 90 minutes to do.

The hardest part for me was finding a way to make a usb drive bootable in Vista. If you have a floppy drive in your pc, or XP then you could take about 30 minutes off that time.
