K, so any cool hacks or custom apps you can load on the Zune that would extend it's coolness beyond playing MP3s? Mame, a web browser, anything?

Just curious, I keep debating over buying one since they're so danged cheap for what they are, but I'm still on the fence.

yes i think the firmware upgrade will make early adopters (this 30GB model) get many new features on the zune2/new zune that they announced recently

I have to agree with this. I think I'm going to jump in on this, but first, can anyone comment on refurb Zunes? Will Microsoft charge for shipping if you need to send it in under warranty (like Apple :|)?

I've been looking at either a Zune, Zen, or iPod. The big advantage so far of the iPod is simply the sheer number of accessories, particularly all the nice docking stations. Although this is fantastic deal I just can't pull that trigger! Please, someone help...

Wireless syncing eliminates the need for a docking station...? (with the firmware update, that is)

Already have a Ipod video 60GB....couldn't pass it up though. One of my biggest gripes against the ipod was the lack of FM tuner. I do enjoy listening to the local channels once in a while. Oh well, at this price its a pretty good bargin. If nothing else I can give it away as a christmas present, but I have a feeling its going to stay with me. Thanks to the OP. I always forget to check woot....maybe thats a good thing though, I get in trouble enough as it is.
