Hmm, imation disks for free. Looks good considering I havent' seen FAR big brand CD-R's for a while. The 6 channel sound card seems like it's probably a Mad Dog.

I thought the sound card was Mad Dog, too, except the current rebate form labels it as a 5.1 card.

I checked the Mad Dog site, and it looks like the chip on it is a 8738 LX (C-Media 8738 variant, so sound is similar to those integrated on many boards). That rack looks interesting cuz IIRC, it's the first time that's been a freebie. And a free many button mouse and free USB port? Count me in tomorrow!

Does anyone know if coupons still work online? I smell some pretty good combos because of all the nice freebies this week!

The last batch to Imations I bought, they were CMC, Made in Taiwan. They worked fine except for the fact that I couldn't burn at 52x. No biggie though, for free I can wait.

Some of them are available online, as Smartidiot has already mentioned; however, some of the items he listed are unavailable. It's just hit or miss.

Just got back from OM. The HUB works fine and even comes with a 6 foot extension cable.

Back with a mouse, usb hub, and remote. Hub made scanner quirky at first, but I think I got it working...

As for the remote....wow, no Apex DVD codes listed? This is gonna be annoying getting my RCA remote to work with my APEX AD-500!

Yeah, is the Body Glove kit rebate not in the paper rebate directory thing? I do not see it. Yes, I do see the PDF link posted above.

Also, looking at the PDF rebate link posted above for the Body Glove kit, it requires the original receipt, as does the iConcepts mouse and USB hub, all of which I bought. I know copies are fine for OM rebates, but will a copy work for these? I don't want to get rid of my original receipt either. And out of the several items I bought, these were the only three that Rebate Receipts didn't print out at the register for. Why?

I bought the Mad Dog 6 channel sound card, but now read that it's buggy as heck. I've already cut the UPC out (but still have). Think I can still return it?

Edit: Also the rebates for several of these say to include the original receipt and UPC, then the area on the right side of the form with the sample UPC shown says to 'attach copy' of receipt and UPC here. So, do you actually staple it there? And it seems they want you to attach additional copies there, in addition to the originals they ask for, that you've included in the envelope?

Wow, you seem confused What rebate are you referrering to? Staple your originals of the receipt and the upc in the appropriate area on the form (or copies if they are accepted). You only need to include one version of the receipt and one version of the upc; there is no need to include additional copies of the items.

I bought the CDR and the sound card.
CDs work not bad, but burning seems to be a bit sluggish (like 10 secs burning, then 2 secs break, then 10 secs burning and so on).
But in the end no error while burning.

The sound card has pretty good sound (better than my onboard sound), but doesn't work with some games (at least under Win98). Also the mixer program that comes with it is totally bugged. If you want to uninstall it, run msconfig and remove it from the startup (it's called "C-Media mixer"). In any case, try to download the driver from their website. It's much better than the one on the CD. Still buggy enough... hehe.

Sent in my rebates today. Hope will get something back

OK, a few of them, the Dazzle for one, say to include orgininal reciept and UPC. Then they also say to attach copies of the upc and receipt to the area where the sample upc is shown.

Also, I never send my original receipt. It is mine to keep! :Q

I have a note saved on my pc that I include with every rebate submission that asks for the original receipt. Without giving the exact wording basically I say that I have called the phone number on the rebate form, and was told it would be all right for me to send in a copy of the receipt, and keep the original for my records. I have not had one refused yet, and I do many, many rebates. Lol

Sometimes, when there are many items on the receipt, I add another sentence about wanting to keep the original in case I need to return an item, or need some type of warranty. Hehe. That is certainly a legit reason to keep the original, don't you think?
